It's Sunday
Good morning all,
Cubbie I hope your feeling better today
I hope you all had a good day yesterday.
I was only able to do a few shops before the ME kicked in and I was in too much pain to do anything else other than come home and go to bed, so it was a good job I didn't go to the NEC.
Today we are going to see mum and take her some of the pile of Chrimbo cards I have made for her, then pick some tea up in Fresh and Wild, I only drink nettle tea and they do a really nice one.
I also need food shopping in Tescos, Alan will be pleased ( not) going by yesterday that will be all I can do so it will be home and rest.
Did anyone go to the NEC? I will have to wait now until the Excel in January, but at least I have plenty of time to save.
Have a great day what ever your doing.
xx

Re: It's Sunday
Morning Mikki, and everyone else who follows Had a fantastic time at the wedding yesterday. The bride was stunning and the groom very smart in his uniform. The Padre was very funny starting the ceremony with "we are gathered here today to join Stephen and Hannah" - everyone gasped (he had got the wrong names) and he burst out laughing
and said "got you" so everyone laughed and he said that is what it is, a happy occasion The grooms army friends had painted help on the bottom of his shoes too which caused a giggle - he did know it was there but couldn't get it off. The speeches were hilarious too. A great time, lovely food, and lovely people there I even had a big hug and "lovely to see you again, haven't seen you for ages" from a very nice young man Martin said who was that, I hadn't a clue and as it was one of the grooms friends I don't think he knew me either

Morning everyone.
Mikki sorry to hear you are poorly hope you feel better today after a rest. I didn't go to the NEC but I have loads of friends that did (maybe one day I'll get there)
Craftworker glad to hear you had a lovely time at the wedding.
Well I didn't get to go to my parents yesterday so hopefully I will get there next weekend. I've got to get my middle one sorted today as she goes away for a couple of days with the school tomorrow.
Have a good day whatever you are doing

Re: It's Sunday
Weather here quite mild this morning so bunnies are out on the lawn - beats the mower I have given their hutch a good clean out so the shed smells a little better today. My son popped in to bring some greens for them and he is now going home to bed as he seems to have man (or Jan) flu too There seems a lot going around. Had a text from my daughter this morning to say they had arrived in South Africa - "Arrived safely, place lovely they have two great danes" She'll be happy then She is animal mad
Re: It's Sunday
Glad the wedding went so well Jacky. Got any pictures?
Hope the rest of you who have been ill/tired/fed up are feeling a bit better today in spite of the gloom.
Looking forward to that lamb stew with roast veggies and herb dumplings when my son arrives.
Enjoy the rest of your day

Hope you are feeling better today Jan and Nikki.
Glad you had such a good time at the wedding Jacky.
I'm feeling a bit under the weather today so not doing much. Am very tired probably because I didn't sleep last night and still had to do the early taxi service for Michael. Thank goodness he's off for four days after today!

Re: It's Sunday
Evening ladies.... havent caught up with the past couple of days posts yet... so hope you are keeping ok.
Have just about recovered from my day at the NEC yesterday - it was busy! but had lots of fun. Met up with a few friends from another forum and we had a good time. I even came back with some £'s!!! must be slipping. I have just ordered a Lace Tree Cuttlebug Folder as everywhere had run out of them yesterday... saw some samples and they were very plain, but elegant looking. Still got to put my goodies away. Also got another Tilda stamp... Tilda with rose... she is soooooooooo cute.
Going now to have a nose around the forum... have a lovely evening

Re: It's Sunday
Just had a nosey Jacky
What a happy looking couple
It does make such a difference when there is a bit of humour in the proceedings
It relaxes the couple, all the wedding party and makes for a far better and happier day
Andrea, I promise you that I have yet to meet a worse hoarder than my other half!
He is unbelievable!
We have a 3 bedroom house that is bulging at the seams and it constantly amazes me why the bedroom ceilings haven't fallen down from the junk in the loft
I bought really lovely Christmas table linen about 4 years ago and they were stored in the loft, while I was at work
And it hasn't been seen since!
The half part of the garage is full as is the garden shed
Anyone know a cheap skip-hire company?
I have always been the kind of person who is ruthless at throwing things out
So it really gets to me
Rant over
Apart from that I love him dearly

Re: It's Sunday
Beat you Sadie, we have a 4 bedroom house, just the two of us. I have my craft room, he has his computer/music room. He has put units round (like I have in my craft room) and it is full and the tops & floor are covered. The loft is full, The garage you can't get a car in, and the shed (when it's not full with bunnies) is also full. We have a covered section between the back of the garage and the shed which is now full of all the things taken out of the shed while bunnie sitting I refuse to let him put anything in my greenhouse
Unfortunately, we are both hoarders but I wish he would get rid of some of his books. Once I have read a book, I know I won't read it again and usually pass it on to someone else or take it to the charity shop or hospital. If he would just take the paperbacks it would make a lot of room. He has sooooo many motorbike books and they all have the same pictures in them Everytime we go into a bookshop he looks at more.

Oh dear Jacky
Please don't tell Alan
Though this part

I am afraid I am very guilty of this
I can't bare to part with books
I left a full library of books when I emptied the Bathgate house and it broke my heart
My elder son has kept them all so it seems he has inherited my habit
And of course there is my craft hoarding habit
But that is acceptable

Re: It's Sunday
I have still got textbooks that I used when I did A levels at evening classes back in the late 1960s! Can't bear to get rid of them. Maybe one day they will be valuable - I wish!
