A very good morning to you all, it doesnt feel so cold this morning. I do hope you all had a good weekend, it just seems to fly past. H-------K day today, I like seeing the Christmas Decs up but is it just me or does the place look a little on the messy side, and when I hover under the tree more seems to fall off than was there in the first place and when they come down everthing looks so empty Have a great day all and take care, Janet xx

It's very cold here this morning, all the cars are frosted up. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I still have not done any Chrimbo shopping, we were going to do it at the weekend but due to my ill health things did not work out as planned, I di get to the shop Aldi have you seen the advert on tv Phil Vickers is going on about this 3 bird roast (chicken, duck and turkey) with stuffing, well it's really nice and at £10 plenty big enough if there is only the two of you for Chrimbo dinner.

Mum has asked for more Chrimbo cards even though I made her around 250 and I still have family ones to do, I have run out of inspiration so I'm going to do some batches of cards rather than everyone different.

Breakie is calling, so have a good day.

Morning all, my fingers just wont get working this morning - I have had to do batches of cards Mikki, dont know how you have managed to do so many different ones I feel the same as you Janet, can't wait to get the decorations down as I feel they look untidy and then it looks really bare. Must admit, I don't like putting them up either but always do in the end Got to get some washing on and then go shopping. Martin is at Golf this morning, and we have badminton tonight then going to the pub with them all for a quick drink and bite to eat for those who need it Have a good day everyone

A typical cold and frosty morning here today!
I have a day off so going to make the most of a child free day and catch up on a bit of housework! Unfortunately no ironing, as my new sparkly flashing lights iron packed in last night This must be a record, I know I go through irons quickly, but I only got this one in the middle of October ! Good job I managed to get hubby's and daughter's trousers
shirts and blouses done!!! Was going in to town today to change the iron, but have had a cold and dont feel like going in and hanging around for buses.
MIkki... I have seen the advert you are talking about, must admit it does look good. Funnily enough I saw one of these (cant remember which) Come Dine with me/Houseguest programmes, and one of the them did a dish called 'a bird within a bird within a bird' one of the 'guests' got quite upset that she had used 3 birds to do the dish.
I feel worn out reading about how many cards you have done, think I have done 60 and I am about fed up of doing that lot!! Still working on the family ones

Janet... I know what you mean about the deccies, we put ours up at the weekend and they do look nice, but already there are bits of tinsel etc about. I actually did think that there was an 'unwritten ruling' that housework shouldnt be done once the deccies are up!!!

Morning ladies bright here this morning but just a few glimpses of the sun but back to being very cold
Just got one card left of my orders and then family ones to do
Didn't get up till nearly 9 this morning laid in bed last night watching a film that didn't finish till almost 2 and I feel obsolutely shattered

Morning everyone thanks for your kind words about my hubby, we have been through it before and we managed and we will do again, he has been a printer since he left school and is 60 next year, and he says after xmas he his going to try b&q and sainsburys he dosnt want the hastle anymore he says.
I have really feel out with making cards this year havent made any really compared to all of you just cant get motivated this year,well must get on has best i can have tried getting into the docs and cant get in till 7pm tomorrow night.

So will keep hobbling round take care everyone.

Morning ladies - just! Was very cold again this morning. The road was completely white with frost - thought at first it was snow Not sure what the gritters are doing but don't seem to be out and about much! Just baked my Chrstmas cakes and the smell is gorgeous! and given the mincemeat a stir. I made it two weeks ago and it only takes two weeks to be ready to use - very alcoholic though. Will probably put my tree up later this week. I don't like doing it too early as it seems to make the place look very cluttered. Roy finishes work Friday till 5 Jan so no doubt next week will have no time to myself! Better make the most of this week

Too right it is Jan im warm has toast after burning those paid bills

Made Iris folded cards in class today, rushed home for a quick lunch then up to the sports centre for gym, aerobics, swim and sauna. Ready for a nice restful evening now. s.. the h.......k!

Jacket potatoes with beans and cheese for quickness tonight. (and a nice fresh fruit salad for pud)

Just spent the afternoon catching up on iPlayer watching Merlin that I haven't watched for 3 weeks, didn't realise it was that long brilliant series, not my sort of thing usually but this has been really really good and also finishing card order, just a few family ones left to do now

I've really enjoyed Merlin too.
Looking forward to the last episode of Spooks tonight.

Yes we watch Merlin too - I can't get on with Spooks either, Martin watches it and that's usually on i-player as we don't get back from badminton early enough for him to watch it

Have been at a funeral all day... My best mates nan died and my poor buddy has really needed the support today, so i am drained but glad that I went to help My buddy was her nan's carer for the past 10 years so is really feeling lost
