Re: Hooray!
I have been so tired this last week or so and keep sleeping in til 8 in the morning. Usually awake about 5 then start thinking of things I still need to do and fall asleep again about 6.30. Had a couple of good nights but not many. Now the cards are all finished maybe I can forget everything now - apart from 3 birthday cards I need to do

But a lot more disadvantages I can't imagine not being able to drive Martin would have to take me to the Crafty Cow and I wouldn't be able to spend as much
Re: Hooray!
With the car still being in the garage it would make no difference at the moment anyway Jacky, just hope they can find out what is wrong with it before Christmas, they have had it since Tuesday morning and up until last night they still weren't 100% sure what the problem is

That's ok then if you can drive in a straight line. A friend of ours tried teaching his daughter - they went to an empty car park and he got her to drive straight across it but she couldn't do it. Kept steering one way then the other. When she eventually got on the road with a driving instructor he told her to turn right at the roundabout and she did literally Luckily there was nothing coming and the instructor had to quickly pull the wheel round. Wouldn't you think that a girl of driving age and had been driven around all her life would have known which way to go round a roundabout She drives ok now although I don't think I would go in a car with her if she offered me a lift
Re: Hooray!
My ex took me for a lesson up on the car park on the cliffs above Dover Docks quite a few years back and I was going round it fine but when I put my toe down a bit he bailled out and said until I passed my test he would never get in a car with me again, I really don't know what his problem was I felt very safe and in control and I was He just a chicken hehehehehehe
Never had a proper lesson but used to drive the kennel van back and fro from the kennels to the house when I was there and I think I could drive just don't know if I have the nerve now with all the other cars on the road.

Re: Hooray!
I am sure you could Jan My sister was in her fortys when she learned to swim and drive. She wouldn't be without her car now, especially as she takes mum shopping and to the Drs. etc. Be brave, have some lessons
Re: Hooray!
Glad it is all sorted out for you Sue
I used to drive a lot and still have a full licence
But I haven't driven for years and my confidence has long gone
Apart from which I doubt if I would be allowed to now
I do miss it though and it would make such a difference to my life
But apart from the fact I haven't driven for years and the state of my head just now I think I would be better sticking to my Duckmobile
