Post  mikki Sun Jan 18, 2009 10:54 am

Good morning Ladies and Gents,

I haven't started the day in a while and as I couldn't sleep I thought I would.
I hope you are all well and have had no problems with the wind and rain.

Alan took me to a new craft shop in Clare Suffolk called Natty Netty, it's a small, pretty shop which stock a little of most things, I was looking for photo glue which had sold out and blank 12x12 card which she didn't stock, however I still manage to spend £33 mainly on peel offs and gems. Clare is a small villiage and I'm sure she has all they need, but was a bit too small for my needs so we went to the Range on the way home.

Have any of you been to the Range? they have branches all over the country and stock a large selection of craft products.

I have been doing loads of stamping and watercolouring, I love using H2O's and Cosmic shimmer's and I am really into flower stamps at the moment.

Well we are off to have breakfast and then some shopping followed by lunch at my friends, she does a wicked roast dinner, it always taste nicer when you haven't cooked it yourself.

Hugz
xx

Good morning everyone Smile Been very windy and wet overnight, but is now bright and sunny and the wind has dropped Smile
Sounds like you had a good spend Mikki Smile
Looked on the Range website and putting in my postcode it looks like the nearest one to me is at Clacton, there is one in Enfield though, when we go up to Mike's parents again will get Mike to take me there on the way up Smile
Fab pics Lou, very impressive Smile
Hope everyone is feeling better today, have a good day all Smile

Good Morning to you all. Wet & windy here too last night. Just got into bed and the rain started beating against the window, it was so noisy so I said that I was off to Sally's room again and Martin said "I'm coming with you". It was so quiet that side of the house and I didn't wake up at all in the night waking at 7.30 went to loo then back to sleep til 9.00 Very Happy Feel so much better this morning Very Happy

Great photos Lou, thought the trees at the back of our house were tall Shocked Nice to see you back again Mikki, sounds like you had a good time craft shopping. We have been to the Range in Cheltenham. I like it as Martin has lots to look at too so we can both browse without the other getting bored Laughing Have a good day crafting Andrea, looking forward to seeing the cards you have made Very Happy

Morning ladies, good to see you back on here Mikki Smile The Range in Cardiff is in the process of expanding its craft section, to quote the Manager, " 6 times as big as it was" so let's hope they stock it with a larger selection rather than just more of what they had he he. I do go in there sometimes but don't tend to buy a lot there.

Those are impressive trees Lou, I bet the children were fascinated by them too Smile

Looking forward to seeing your QVC spend all made up Andrea Smile Did you know they have a craft day on Tuesday ? It follows Joanna Sheen on Sunday on C&C and a C&C craft day on Monday - wee loads to watch he he Smile

Glad you managed to get some sleep regardless of the wind and rain Jacky, we had the same weather here but I have a reputation of being able to sleep through a hurricane without hearing a thing he he. I think they exaggerate .... he he

Jayne hun I hope you have started keeping food down now and are feeling a little better.

Hugs to all who need and even those who don't need store them up for when you do need them he he Smile

Post  craftymumof3 Sun Jan 18, 2009 2:39 pm

Morning everyone. Had an awful night last night. The rain and strong winds started here at about 9pm and got worse througout the night. At one point I thought some of the roof was coming off but I can't see any damage this morning.
Great to see you back Mikki. I've never been to the Range so I will have to see if I have one near here. Have fun crafting Andrea. Great photos Lou, I love visiting the New Forest but I haven't been there for a few years now, perhaps it's about time I had another visit. I used to visit Burley to look at the antique shops and the fudge shop.

Hope all the poorly people feel better soon.

have a good day whatever you are doing Smile

I have been watching the birds in the garden this morning as I noticed 2 little birds which I thought at first were pied wagtails but when they came nearer and went on the bird feeder realised they were longtailed tits. I have never seen one before Very Happy They were so pretty. While watching the usual blue tits, robins & sparrows a little coal tit came too, which I have never seen in our garden but had seen in a friends. Then Martin came rushing upstairs and said there was a strange bird in the tree and it was a Great Spotted Woodpecker. I have seen them before in the garden, one came regularly, but haven't seen one for several years now. Martin has got quite enthusiastic now and has set up the tripod with his camcorder on and connected it to the tv so he is sat bird watching. Unfortunately he can never remember any of the names of birds Rolling Eyes Now show him a motorbike and he remembers everything Laughing Laughing

Afternoon ladies. Lovely day here almost springlike! I get loads of coal tits Jacky and occasionally longtailed tits. Also got the greater spotted woodpecker briefly when it was so frosty. Haven't seen it since though. A nuthatch is also a regular visitor as well as all the usual tits, robins etc.
