How can you not like the Nativities Jan, I loved them - especially the ones we did at pre-school - that was the best part of the job

Lou - ahhh poor Ady sounds like he's had an eventful morning least he's given everyone a good chuckle today
Jayne, hope work went ok and wasn't too stressful.
Janet & Jan - so whats the protocol for Saturday do we stand with them with our anoraks on looking interested or nip into the local cafe for a cuppa?
Have a good evening everyone

Re: Wednesday Mornin'
Di well Saturday we go with them until the train arrives stay for a few minutes to show willing and then slope off to the cafe, hopefully it will be a nice day and we can sit outside under cover
Breadmaker decided it is a very bad idea, made another loaf today still didn't cook properly so I put it in the oven, mistake number 1 , mistake number 2 was coming upstairs and chatting on puter while totally forgetting bread was in oven and now it is very caramelised on top, well they do say that charcoal is good for you

Yes thanks Jan. It is quilling which I'm not too keen on doing but it was nice sitting twirling while chatting. Didn't get anything stuck together but will finish it off in my own time. Found a pattern on the web for lavender - trouble is it is all tiny pieces The pattern looked quite big but then realised the measurement was 2" across and the picture was at least 4" Lou those sugar free cake recipes sound good, any chance you can let me have them for my Mum - she misses her cakes
Re: Wednesday Mornin'
Never tried quilling, not sure if my chubbie little fingers could do it Have seen some fab examples of it and have thought about giving it a try, maybe one day
Re: Wednesday Mornin'
I like the look when it's done, and some of the ladies had some some lovely cards which they brought to show us up but I find it fiddly trying to stick the end down after you have wound it. On lady had a PVA glue applicator - which was a small plastic bottle with a tiny metal nozzle on the end and that looked so much easier. You buy the empty bottle and just fill it with whatever you use. There was a telephone number on the bottle so I am going to phone tomorrow to see if I can get one
Re: Wednesday Mornin'
We had a phone call from Ian last night to say his wifes younger brother had fallen from a roof and was in hospital . She and her sister went to the hospital and when she got home Ian phoned again to say he was waiting for a CT scan as he had a gash on the back of his head and they thought he had broken some ribs. Anyway, the good news is he is home again with just bruising - no broken ribs, and the CT scan was ok. What a shock though, and his parents are on holiday in Australia. The older daughter has already scratched their new car all down one side too Bet they will be worried about going on holiday again.
Re: Wednesday Mornin'
Oh gawd Jacky, glad he is alright though, very lucky escape
I certainly wouldn't want to be the daughter when they get home
