Wednesday already

Been lovely and sunny heretoday. Working this morning so didn't get out in it till after lunch when we went to a friend's funeral/thanksgiving service. The church wasn't far so we walked. It was a happy and sad occasion with lots of lovely stories and reminising. Funny howthese times are also a timeto catch up with old friends you haven't seen for ages.

David was our local pharmacist and his wife died of cancer too only 2 years ago. My husband played squash with him and our Karen was a Saturday girl in his first shop 20 years ago

Just has a nice roast beef dinner as our son popped in for a visit. They're now enjoying the football on Sky and having a couple of beers -at least I can get on the computer.

Been lovely day here today, washing dried brilliantly Went to Woking today to the theatre to see Buddy. Really enjoyed it Those Thorntons caramel shortcakes sound very nice Christine, must look out for those Lexie isnt a patio supposed to slope slightly or the water just lays on it

Went to Guildford theatre on Monday. Clive knew one of the actresses and we met Leslie Grantham too at the stage door

oohh... ouch... me back is aching!!

Have been shopping with a friend today. I didnt realise shopping was an Olympic sport... cos believe me... my friend gets Gold everytime!!! Boy ...can she shop! Looking (and trying on) at shoes, they were £85.00 (with a matching bag £50.00 ) but they are not shoes for walking in, they are sitting down shoes Anyway.. back home now and having a nice rest.

£85 for shoes but must admit I have spent more than that on trainers in the past

I couldn't spend £85 on shoes and £50 on a handbag either - my crafty buys would be far better value he he
