Hope you get your painkillers quickly, Lou, mainly to stop the pain and let you feel better, but also to let you do things. Isn't it awful when we can't feel/get on as normal! I have tennis elbow (sounds amusing, but isn't!) in my right elbow, extending it is painful, and I can't hold anything, but it isn't agonizing. It does affect everything I do though, so it's also a pain in the neck. It's been ten weeks, I'm getting fed up of it now. Mad Good luck, I hope you're soon feeling better.

Dismal day here in the Mids, like late Autumn and the onset of Winter, instead of Spring. Misty, and the sky looks so colourless that if it was Winter we should be forecasting snow!

Have fun if you've got decent weather, here it's the sort of day when we wish we still had open fires! Very Happy

Hope you get sorted Lou. I'm off to doctors too to try and get rid of this cough. Think we must all need lots of sun and holiday even though I've just had one. Tennis elbow is not funny Christine- I had it years ago and eventually had an injection which was agony at the time but did the trick after a couple of days.

Grey but very mild here- forecast says its going to brighten up - let's hope so. Hugs to all who need them.

Post  LoopyLou Wed Apr 15, 2009 12:37 pm

Hi all,

Back from the docs..... she doesn't think it is muscle pain just referred pain from the bashing my joints took on that ride so she hasn't given me muscle relaxants but stronger painkillers.

I am currently on Ibuprofen and Co-dydramol

Now I also have Co-codamol and she has given me Tramadol aswell. She says the Tramadol isn't always well tolerated but she hopes I can handle it. I don't often react to medication so she thinks I'll be fine.

She said I needs to get into hossy and get my night splints sorted, apparently they will help alot at night. I go in on the 5th May so not long now

The other thing.... you know I had that HBA1C blood test last week for my diabetes and said the woman was useless and hurt me... big brooooze and all that? Remember?

Well the silly woman also managed to put the blood in the wrong tester tube Crying or Very sad so I have to have it all done again..... and if you remember I was worried about not being told it had to be a fasting one??? It only needs to be fasting if cholesterol is needed so if the stupid woman had not got her tubes muddled up it would have been fine...

Am so stressed out it aint true....... and have just managed to worry hubby by blubbing on the phone to him Rolling Eyes

I must calm down, I must calm down, I must calm down lol!

Hi all Smile Lou you poor thing you blubb to your hearts content hun as its good for you, storing in all those negative emotions is bad for the bod and the brain he he. I know your family help when they can but you have to learn to let them help you more, no need to feel bad about it, you all make the mess, all eat, all use facilities etc etc so why not all chip in to keep it running over when you are not well enough to cope with your normal chores? Listen to mother !!!!! he he Smile

You guys are lucky having the storms, I love watching them and didn't get any here Sad

Andrea I am well and truly green, you have some Martha Stewart border punches in your stash ....... I want them, no change that I NEED them he he Smile Glad you are over your jet lag now Smile

Sue hun, you get down the docs and tell him being ill all the time is not the natural thing that happens as you get older, you need medical intervention to clear it up !!! Another listen with mother speech he he Smile

Hugs for all Smile

Ok Mum (Jen)!!!! I am listening..... seriously though girls, these tablets have really helped... thank heavens something did! I took a maximum dose like the doc said,,, two tramadol one hour after the 2 co-codamol, with something to eat... she wanted to ease the pain as soon as poss and it has definately helped.

I just booked my repeat blood test for monday.... and then i have my diabetes check up on thursday, so I hope I don't have that daft nurse again!!!

Thanks for all the hugs ladies, it does help xxx

Had a nice afternoon - went over to Crafty Cow and met Jacky and Frances and her two girls. I was very good and only bought one thing- the digital scrapbook software. Left them both there as I had to get back for the doctor's appointment. Complete waste of time! She gave me an inhaler to try for 2 weeks even though chest was clear and I'm not asthmatic. She said maybe windpipe felt raw as I'd been coughing so much!!!! Never seen her before and she didn't impress me at all. So we'll see what happens.

Sue you are well with in your rights to have a chest xray. How long have you had the cough? I put up with my cough for years only after I saw another doctor about something totally unrelatede did I get sent to the Chest Specialist , still coughing like a dog but if it gets mega bad I know that steroids will cure it for 6 weeks or so ! still I can manage it now so keep nagging your doctor......END OF LECTURE ..........lexie x Very Happy

Glad you are feeling better Lou Very Happy Had a lovely afternoon, meeting up with Sue & Frances - what lovely girls she has Very Happy I didn't buy anything, went to the tearoom and just had a cup of tea as if I had had cake too I wouldnt have fancied any dinner. Then Frances remembered she needed some double sided tape so we went back into the shop, so it's all her fault that I bought the nestabilities lol! Sorry to hear you're not happy with your doctor Sue, can't see why you would need an inhaler for a cough scratch Hope you get better soon though Very Happy Sorry to hear about Ruperts problems Lexie Mad
