Re: Wet Monday
Morning Andrea & Karen, another beautiful day here this morning. No plans as yet on what we are doing, Martin has only just got up. I have tidied up all the things from the barbecue and sat and watched Casualty since I have been up
Enjoy your film Karen, I really like Miley Cyrus after I saw her putting Jonathon Ross in his place - she didn't let him get a word in

Re: Wet Monday
Morning Andrea, Karen, Jacky and all who follow. It's freezing cold and pouring with rain here, I might have to put the heating back on in a bit (Haven't had it on since before Easter)
Andrea have a relaxing day, Karen enjoy the film (My 2 girls want to go and see that), Jacky have a nice day whatever you decide to do.
I hope all poorly people feel a bit better today
Lou will be thinking of you this week whilst you are in hospital
Have a good day whatever you are doing

Re: Wet Monday
Good morning ladies Beautiful sunny skies here sorry some of you are having typical Bank Holiday weather
Haven't been up long, well been on Facebook to do my farm and it has taken me over half an hour but had only just got up before then not like me at all these days usually up by 7 at the latest
Managed to get a couple of cards done yesterday, one a sympathy card for my daughter to give to her naighbour and a mans card for a football maniac
Nothing planned for today other to make the most of the weather so will be going out soon
Have fun at the pictures Frances, haven't been for ages think the last film we saw was Star Wars a few years ago, not someone we ever think to go really should do because I like a good movie
I saw that too Jacky, boy can she talk
Well take care all and have fun whatever your doing

Re: Wet Monday
Good morning everyone,
Like you Andrea, got up to send hubby off to work at 4.30 and then went back to bed for a while.
going to order some clothes online now for my hols at the end of month and might treat him to a few
bits if he is lucky. Then I will be having a play with my stash from the The Crafty cow yesterday.
Still sunny here in good old Portsmouth at the moment, but don't expect it to last.
Hope you all have a good day.
Hope your hospital stay goes okay for you Lou, will be thinking of you.
Catch up with you all later

Re: Wet Monday
Morning all, well only just he he in my defence I didn't go to bed until 6am and woke up about 9ish and no matter how hard I tried to convince myself that I should go back to sleep it didn't work. So, I got up and made a card instead he he
The weather is yuk here too and we had planned on going for a picnic today too Nevermind, think I'll pop to Home Bargains as I read somewhere that they have fabric covered scrapbook kits for £2.99 I might have to pop into the Range to check on their delivery of Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen stuff he he.
Hope it clears up so that you can all do whatever you had planned and
HUGE HUGS LOU, you will be fine in hosp and feel so much better after your respite

I have just added another scrapbook page to my gallery

Re: Wet Monday
I'm a happy bunny today. My printer is working, the photoprinter is working and the scanner is working...... who cares if its raining? Had 2 nice days out when the sun was shining and now I've got lots of scanning and printing to catch up with (and Casualty and George Gently on IPlayer)
Had a good lay in - lunch is prepared and ready to warm up in the microwave later and 2 rooms and the kitchen are looking clean and tidy for once. Made 10 more wedding cards and just 15 to do. ATCs are on their way and maybe I'll do the card swap this afternoon (if I can find an elegant lady)
Have a good day all - hugs to those who need them

Re: Wet Monday
Good afternoon everyone on this fine bank holiday Monday.
Hope you have all had a wonderful 3 days off (well for those who were lucky to have 3 days off, me I was working this morning ).
Did anyone watch QVC craft day & if so what did you think? I watched 2/3rd’s of it live but still have about 4 hours to watch. Liked the TSV but knew I would never use it so didn’t get it but I did get 3 other items 2 lots of scrapbooking stuff and some floral toppers I think it was can’t rem. Lucky I was working today to pay for it!!!
I had a bit of a disaster on Sat night my shelf on the wall that had craft stuff on fell off and everything on there went all over the floor and yes what a crash it was. I was only by it about an hour before so I was lucky it didn’t come down on me. The only damage was a vase of my mum’s that had flowers in had cracked and water everywhere but luckily not on the pc but the carpet is still wet.
So that meant a sort out of my stash and am I the only one (or are we all like it) that has so much around in boxes & carrier bags that I don’t know what I have got? So y’day and today (when I finished work as when I got home we had a power cut all morning ) I have been sorting out 2 boxes & 3 carrier bags and now chucked a lot out and sorted stuff out. Ok so I still have 1 box full up but it is more organised & I am going to get some a4 plastic wallets so I can put my odds & ends scrap paper/card in and get a ‘shoe box’ from Tesco (only £2.50) for the small embellishments, then I can get sorting my draws out along with 2 other big boxes that I got stuff from at the NEC last year – yep still got that packed away.
As you can see a very busy couple of days and I didn’t realise how much scrapbooking stuff I have got now & ordered 200 sheets y’day oh help!!!
Catch you later
Christine

Re: Wet Monday
A couple of you ladies here know already, Janet thank you very much for your phone call but had something horrible happen today and I am left feeling very empty, my little pooch died this morning, he was sleeping soundly when I went downstairs and when Mike went down a little while after he had gone. He was coming up 15 years old so a very good age especially as his breed max is 11 usually, he has deteriorated over the last 6 months and was only a matter of time but a huge shock now it has happened. Mike and Carrie's friend Marc took him up to the woods where he liked to go and buried him amongst the bluebells As my friend said he is off chasing rabbits now
The one blessing is he went peacefully and at home

Oh Jan, I am sorry to hear about your dog. It is heartbreaking no matter how old they are. Be strong my dear.
Lou, hope it goes ok for you and you are soon back.
Been a rotten day here in County Durham weather wise. first it was windy then wet and then, although it has stopped raining, it is really gloomy. You watch the sun come out at dusk just to rub our noses in it.
Hugs
Shirley

Jan... so sorry to hear about your dog. Sending you ((hugs))
Got back from Lincoln after watching the film... it was quite good, didnt think I was going to enjoy it - but I did. We went on for a chinese buffet which went down very well - and we are well and truly full now!

Just heard a big shout in the garden from Martin who has gone out to pain the shed -
Wow you didn't tell me that Martin was a sadist Jacky, did the shed fight back !!!! he he
Re: Wet Monday
Jan, so sorry to hear about your little one, I have cats but every time I have lost one it is
like losing a member of the family. As you rightly say at least it was a peaceful end
and how lovely to be able to be buried amongst the bluebells.
Think of the good times

Let that out didn't I, It wasn't as I thought though, the shout was in exasperation. He started to stir the paint, got it over his hands then realised he hadnt put on the disposable gloves he had got ready to use. He washed his hands then went back and started to stir again without putting the gloves on
That was when he shouted
