Off to sunny Margate

Clive's football team is playing in Margate tomorrow and if the weather is still nice I might go along for the ride.

What would you recommend as a good way of spending the time there - ie. good shops, places to visit, walks? I won't have transport but he will drop me off at 2.30ish and pick me up again at 5ish.

Also, any suggestions for a good place for an early lunch to save me having to prepare a pic-nic!

Had a good day out but his team lost! After coffee in Whitstable, lunch in Broadstairs I was dropped off in the centre of Margate. Wandered round the old part of town then caught a bus up to the large shopping Centre for some serious window shopping before returning to town for my lift home. Sunny most of the time but really windy. The sand really made my eyes sting.



Off to bed now. Sleep well all!

Glad you had a good day Jane A lady who works with Martin told him her daughter has gone to University in Kent - first week there (not even a full week) she and a few friends went to Margate - were playing around on the beach and were attacked by a group of immigrants who stole their bags etc. She and another girl managed to run off and escaped but the others in the group were beaten up

Thats typical Jacky and did the police catch them probably no and if they did what will happen to them? more free handouts and a new car probably sorry but this situation with immigrants is getting ridiculous and makes my blood boil

I agree . in our local Sainsburys Car park and the car park in town there are loads of them wanting to was the car , now i now they are only doing it for money but hey are very intimidating and scary .....I'll say no more in case I offend anyone !
