Good morning ladies cold out and tryin g to snow here, off for my eyebrows waxed when ive dropped Greg off at school then im going to parents for my weekly chill. Big hugs for the poorlies and wrap up warm if going out.

More snow overnight... back to school as well - so not looking forward to the walk up to school. Amy is looking forward to going back.
Got to get my thinking cap on as to what to get for mum's birthday - she will be 80 on Monday, and we are hopefully having a meal at a nice restaurant for a few of her friends on Sunday - hoping the weather wont get any worse.

Good morning Karen, Andrea, Jan and all who follow Hibernating for the next few days, got Martin to get essentials on his way home from work as the cycle lanes and pavements are too icy for his bike so he has taken the car. Not snowing here yet but forecast for tonight I am going to sort my craft room out again today and re-organise it as my Cricut is where I usually dump things in the corner so things have been dumped everywhere else now Wish I could be organised Made a cottage pie for tonights dinner so have got the day to myself Have a good day whatever you are doing Has anyone heard from Sue, can't remember whether she was going up north to see her family

Bright and sunny here but with snow apparently looming...so we are forecast anyways! We have only had one day of snow..... the day they broke up from school before christmas so I am desperate to have some more... huff it this way if you girls don't want it!

Well came back from dentist with a sore gob yesterday but at least he filled me hole

The OT visit went well , they have a couple more aids that may help me but we are gonna hold off on deciding about a stairlift until I know whats happening with my surgery.

Managed to creep a lift out of my dad to get me to hydro today, thank gawd, think i woulda frozen to the portaloo!

Snow, snow and more snow! We were already struggling with the snow, but we woke to more this morning and it has hardly stopped since. It's coming down in a constant stream, and big flakes too. My hubby was out clearing the topmost snow from the drive earlier, and is out there now trying to keep it down, but it's coming faster than he can clear. He looks like a snowman, shovelling along. We live in a high area and our biggish drive faces North so we suffer for weeks if we let it settle and freeze, and keeping it clear is a priority. We have large homemade 'snow-ploughs', (huge pieces of wood fastened to stails) and we walk along pushing as much snow before us as we can. We did something similar before we moved into this area, but the tools and the drive were a more moderate size, and it didn't take a fraction as long! I offered to help, but accepted when he declined, only I know I should get stuck in next time, it's soul-destroying seeing your efforts wiped out behind you, and it helps if someone else is with you.

Looks fantastic though, I think I shall be putting some snowy photo's of home on my Christmas cards next year!

Keep warm everybody, we're about to be snowed in, thank goodness for overstocking for Christmas.

Great idea Christine I took some photos on my way to work one morning a few years ago and made Christmas cards with them.

Just got back from ASDA and it looks like people are preparing for a seige! More queues than at Chistmas and no root veg, green veggies, low on bread and milk and lots of empty shelves..............................and the snow hasn't even arrived.... YET!

Went to Epsom this morning and ticked half the things on my 'to-do' list so feeling happy. managed 7 hours sleep last night and only woke up once for about 1/4 hour. Good fun at the craft club and I got well paid too. They've asked me back for a couple more sessions before next Christmas (rather than just once a year).

Clive's off on the school run shortly but who knows what tomorrow will bring! As long as we can get to the airport OK and they keep the roads reasonably clear I'll be happy. I love the look of snow but won't be spending much time out in it this year. One damaged knee is more than enough.

Oooooh getting excited, sky has darkened and temp has dropped.... hoping for some snow anytime soon!!!!

Afternoon ladies and a belated Happy New Year. Sorry I've not been around but have been very under the weather all through December and still don't feel 100% but definitely better than I was. Even had to call out the out of hours doctor before Christmas - took him 51/2 hours from phone call till when he arrived! Still managed an enjoyable Christmas although it seemed to go on for ages. Roy spent it here with me then Mark, Shell and Declan came on Boxing day for 2 nights, David and Sanra the following day for 2 nights and Michael just called in for two evenings as he was working.
Decorations are down now and all the excess food gone! Stocked up on milk and cereal this morning just in case of heavy snow. Roy got stuck in the last lot. He was going to Reading on the bus and ended up walking the last couple of miles in the snow then getting straight on a train to come home. He set off at 1.45 nd got back at 7.30! He's watching the weather very carefully today!

Lou, check out this forecast - its due to hit London and the Southeast at 9.00ish tonight with a lot more overnight. I expect it will extend south to you shortly after. You might have a surprise when you look out of the window tomorrow!

Glad I got mine in Morrison's this morning! Didn't seem very busy then.

Can't blame Martin for this one, it usually snows when he goes to Spain for golf but he isnt going this year
