Morning...

another cold and frosty one. Had more snow last night and it settled. So its going to be a slippy trip up to school this morning.
Not much planned for today other than going down to Mums at 2,00 - she has a lady coming to see her at 2,00. Keith took a message confirming the above - he thought it was the OT. But she was supposed to visit yesterday, phoned me and said she would have to cancel and make it for the 21st.... so I am totally confused at who is coming today!!!!
Amy is off to school today, but I cant see many been there - the bus companies have all said they are not turning out. Poor Amy thinks she is going to be the only one in school!!!

my snow is melting rapidly and as they forecast rain for the next few days I'm glad I went out in it yesterday while I still had some
I'm heading off to town today to do my fortnightly weigh, wish they had a reliable weighing scale in the village or in my bathroom he he. Still one of the perks is that I get to look around clothes shops whilst there and check if a certain card shop have any nice wrapping papers this week
Craft Stamper is out too seems like ages since the last one. I love that mag, so many great ideas in it

Good morning ladies and thanks for that Jacky i stayed in all day yesterday has it was bad taking Greg to school , by three o clock it had defrosted so was not has slippy. It snowed again here last night but only a light dusting so not too bad. Just witness a near smash on the road at the back of Gregs school the car just kept sliding luckily the car did not bump into anything and she was on her way.Hope Lou , Jane and Lexie are feeling better and hugs to any other poorlies. Off for a nice cuppa now take care out.

Its raining here Iam soooo pleased as it mightt start washing all the yucky snow away !Can see most ot the road now ,,,wow! Iam defnetly fine now and things are moving if you get my drift !I'VE GOT A WOMAN COMMING THIS MORNING FOR SCRAPPING SO CAN'T BE LONG AS i MUS'NT FORGET TO HANG THE WASHING ...we have got a brill cupboard where the boiler is and our clothes dry really quick in there , speak later xxxx

Its still quite compact ice here, but it is thawing slowly. Certainly much easier walking up to school this morning. Ben ... bless him didnt want to go, and when we got into his class he was clinging onto me. I remember when I used to have the same with Amy, I felt awful and could have quite easily brought her home - but had to be strong and determined. Will let his mum know when she collects them later on, as usually he is pretty good going into school.

Morning ladies. Definitely thawing here all I can hear in the garden is drip drip drip! Our road full of brown slush now but one it leads on to has definitely got black showing. Wonder if I'll get any post?

Just went out and cleared the ice in front of our drive and it was about 3" thick solid ice, think that is going to take a while to go away. Smashed it up a bit though. The cars are just sticking to the tracks but it is quite dodgy when someone comes the other way and they have to go on the ice I hope we get some post today too Sue Enjoy your scrapping Lexie

Been drizzling all morning but at least the snow is disappearing fast. shame we have asmall leak in the downstairs cloakroom but not too bad so will put a thick towel on the floor while we're away and get it repaired when we get back. Its been bad for months but as it was built in the space between the house and garage its not a real problem for the rest of the house.

I'm sporting legs liked a plucked chicken but at least won't feel quite so embarrased in my swimming costume now. It will be nice to wear a skirt and even long shorts again! Off to do some more packing then will chill out in my nice tidy craft room this afternoon I think.

My missing pen turned up from JS as well, ordered a few Pro markers, well 2 packs and 6 others but dont tell Mike and one was missing so rung them yesterday to say and it arrived this morning, hows that for service

I didn't get my post, and there is no reason as all sorts of vehicles are going up the road

How frustrating for you. Never mind - perhaps they'll come tomorrow. Think how much pleasure you'll have when they do eventually arrive

Oh dear Jacky - I had post delivery (not van) and courier although she said she was still a few days behind.

How's the weather with you now? The snows rapidly going thank goodness but will be rough tonight if the temperature drops below freezing. We have thick fog here now.

We haven't had much rain, just a bit of drizzle first thing. The ridges in the road are quite bad, Martin had trouble turning into our drive across them even though I had got rid of some of it. Not supposed to freeze tonight so hopefully they are correct Otherwise the snow hasnt really changed here apart from the road

Oh, you are an unkind lot . I was already fed up of the snow before it reached most of you, and now you're getting rain, and black showing on the roads - and post!

Hubby's birthday today, no post and our planned outing had to be cancelled, so we stuck on our Yaktrax and walked to the local hostelry for lunch. Actually I don't think he minded, instead of a more fancy meal he had a huge mixed grill, and I think he was just as happy with it. I may have said this before, but I'll say it again anyway... Who'd have a birthday at this time of year! (If you're still planning families do bear that in mind, and do your offspring a favour! )

It sounds as though things are improving generally, so surely we can't be far behind. Take care.

Well had a nice morning scrapping with the lady who comes , then when I went to sort the washing , machine full of water , and a little on the floor ,mick had a look but machine won , man came , we then had to go and buy a new machine as its k******'d ...it is about 22 years old so the new one comes monday morning.REALLY COULD OF DONE WITHOUT THAT ! never mind ah .Not going swimming in the Cape Town area 3 people have been munched to death by sharks one was only in waist high water !!!
My baby brother is on his way as we speak to Hatihi wih his paper ,he has gone as he's both a photo journo and photographer .NOwhere to stay when he gets there just a sleeping bag , but some people he went to Gaza with are on the same flight so he knows some people,
