Morning Janet x Hope you get your crafting done hun x Hope the sun comes out and stays out for you xx

Poor Ady come home yesterday lunch time with his wedding ring finger going purple and swelling up... he just managed to get his ring off... just as well as the size of the finger this morning would have meant a trip to have it cut off Shocked

I am pretty sure he has broken it No , although I think one of the straight bones as he can still bend it slightly Sad

He is refusing (at the moment) to have it xrayed or even splinted... blooming wuss that he is! affraid

If it is still bad on Tuesday (his day off) I will be marching him down to A & E! Saturday... the weekend is here 701734

Morning!!

Ooohh... Lou you have your Matron hat on this morning!!! Still its best if he gets it seen to sooner rather than later. Hope you soon feel better as well.

Raining here as well... as you say typical!! Took mum for a walk down to the shop this morning for a paper and milk. Left her waiting for her carer. She is going to have a shower this morning. The carer is allowed 45 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening. Her wet room is brilliant, so much easier.

I did my shopping on line last night... should arrive between 2 - 4 this afty.

Not doing a great deal of anything today. Have a good day yourselves, take care xx

Oooooooooooooh matron - just tape his fingers together then and if that doesn't work send him down to A&E!
I'm still chuckling about the Cuttlebug embossing! Don't have too much of a problem as I'm no Pamela Anderson.

Sorting books at the moment and have several huge piles for Charity shop, friends, and Book Aid. 'orrible outside so I might have to wash the book shelves down later ready for painting at a later date.

Still got Tuesday Night's prep to finish but Clive's off to footie later so I'll have the place to myself.

Cooked so much yesterday that I only need to pop into the kitchen for cuppas and reheats! Enjoyed Sports Aid last night and have some catching up to do on IPlayer.

Have a good day and hugs to the poorlies. Sorry you're having a bad week Jan - you're bound to have down days after all you've been through. Hope things improve next week.

Glad I gave you a chuckle Jane! I have always referred to having a mammogram as having yer boobs cuttlebugged!

Awww Jan, you will be feeling low hun, its natural after what you've been through hun x Give yourself loads of time and certainly don't think you are needing to kick your own butt, if you try to put away what happened you will not grieve properly hun xxxx Let the tears come whenever they need to, you have been so strong x

Good afternoon ladies, late today but I have managed to make a card this morning in between playing games on facebook Laughing Laughing horrible miserable day here too. Have to tidy up my room again but think I may just do Mum's birthday card while it is still messy and then that's the lot for March. Unfortunately we are away at the beginning of April so have to do my sisters too but looking forward to doing both as they are ladies and have the ideas for them Laughing Got a quiz night at the school tonight with Ian, Ruth and Sally. Sally had her leaving do at work last night and is feeling a little fragile but I have told her she has to get her brain in gear ready for tonight Very Happy

Hugs to Jane and Ady, I have already given him a telling off on facebook Laughing Dont work too hard Jane, and enjoy your cupcakes Andrea. Glad your mum is getting on ok with her wetroom Karen Very Happy

Ady is starting to relent... he has said he is going back to work to go show his boss and get it put in the accident book... his boss Ken is a stickler for proceedure so I expect he will have Ady over A & E in a shot! If he doesn't I have told Ady I am gonna splint it meself when he gets home... was going to do it at lunchtime but he wanted to show how bruised and swollen it was to his boss!

When Michael broke his finger the hospital didn't put a splint on - instead they strapped it to the next finger.

Lou , you tell him to get to hospital , needs to be xrayed .
we have had a nice day , we went to a huge big craft market , sells alsorts of stuff and so had to buy a few bits including the most gorgous ribbon! I buy alot of unusual ribbon fro a Indian chap he s getting to know me now and I got a good price so I was chuffed.
We are all going out for supper to night so am lookoing forward to that , I feel like a huge Telley tubbie at moment and both Micky and I are going on a serious diet when we get home .Spoke to Dulcie this am she has a rotton cold and is croaky , said her dad said she could have a few days of school , but she said she did'nt want to she has exams to prepare for ..... have aliens taken my daughter who usually will do any thing for a day off school !!
Big hugs to all poorlies and those caring for poorlies love lexie xx

Well I have just had a phone call from Ady, his boss looked at it and sent him over A & E with one of the receptionists.... he has cracked the bone, quite a simple break but the A & E doc was more worried about how much swelling there is.... he has now been told he has to keep his hand UP for 2 days at least and go back if swelling don't go down..... so it looks like he has got the next few days off.... poor sod!

Glad he went to the hospital Lou - I presume he will have it in a sling to take the pressure off it. Lexie, pleased to hear you are still enjoying yourselves over there, seems like so long ago we were sat in your house Laughing Laughing

So much for crafting - had a rest after lunch, spent just 1/2 hour in the craft room making a few paper flowers for one of the cards then ended up watching Harry Potter. Can't believe how young they all were in the first film!

Prefer working in daylight so the rest will have to wait till tomorrow.
