Friday
Morning!
Another lovely morning - getting used to this nice weather!
Got the morning to myself as Keith and Amy are going to have their hair cut.
Off down to Mum's now, so enjoy your day

Morning everyone or is it afternoon ??? Took Dulcie to her ' boyfriends ' over at Tonbridge , a 42 mile round trip ! Still , his mum is lovely and said not to collec her until 7 ish so thats great , all winding country roads and I got stuck behind a lorry for miles, so his afternoon I am going to scrap away without any interuptions !Can't remember if I told you we went to see Nanny Mcphee yesturday , we enjoyed it , so if you have kids or grandkids its worth seeing !
Nice to have you back Jacky how did you get on , Iam sure you feel relaxed and raring to go now !!!??? Not many people about his week , everyone away , St.Ives sounds lovely , although we have another lovely sunny day here , I did try to bring back some sunshine !
Where Dulcie is today , they have 4 beautiful 4 week old Kittens they are gorgous don't think Micky would let us have another one ! Alhough the one I fell in love wih was he only one without a home ! A lovely little ginger Tom , so he'd have to be Tom , I wonder if Micky will let us ...... I'll ask when the football is on ! that normally works any thing to stop me talking during the game !!!! xx

You must be joking Lexie, I feel absolutely shattered at the moment - really dont know why. Went to bed earlier than usual every night and up later than usual. Bored as hell on the boat when Martin and my nephew Paul was up top steering, great nephew in the lounge area playing x-box and me sitting doing crosswords, suduko and reading my book. Wish I had taken some craft with me but having to carry everything back with us on the train to where we had started from and parked the car, didnt have room Not really my idea of a holiday but when the weather was dry and we stopped at a lock I got out and walked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udd-ghc8rlo&feature=related this is the locks we had to do, 15 in one go and we had already done 2 lots of 5. but I preferred doing that to being on the boat. It didnt help that Martin and my G.nephew didnt get on - at 11 yrs old he knew everything and was really rude if Martin suggested anything to him (you cant tell me what to do - you're not my parent) but then his dad is a bit like that too. At first meeting everyone thinks what a lovely boy, all questions and this is the first time I have been around him for more than a couple of hours. He was fine when Paul told him off as he knew that he could just threaten him with not being allowed on the boat any more. Paul is my sisters eldest son and Adam is the son of my brothers eldest son. It did spoil things for us though as he usually got his own way as Paul. We both said we wouldn't want to go on a canal holiday again. It took us a week to get to our destination and a couple of hours to get back on the train (including a change at Crewe) On the last night some yobs untied the back of our boat at 1.30 in the morning, luckily I heard them and Paul managed to tie it back up again without too much trouble, although it was across the canal by that time, but it was difficult to sleep after that. That was at Whitchurch.
Re: Friday
Oh dear Jacky... sounds as if you have had a bit of a rough time.
Hope you have a lovely weekend and make sure you rest! Should be decent weather as well.

He wasn't bad all the time but eats lots of sweets and hot chocolate and then he is. We had some good evenings playing games and he was really good then, but it did put a damper on the week at times. Apparently, I just read on facebook, he locked them both out of the boat. Luckily a window was open and it is literally only 4 inches deep and about 2 ft wide which he got through. How he managed I don't know as they just drop open a couple of inches inwards. I presume Paul had to somehow take the glass out. Away next weekend, in the Bongo at a motor bike rally in Pewsey
