Sunny but looks cold out... not sure, as I havent poked my nose out yet.
Off to mums in a bit, set her up for the day as Keith and I are going to his appointment in Nottingham. Think there is a Hobbycraft as well somewhere nearby.. so I might have a lookysee in there - not that I need anything!

Morning everyone , looks a really lovely day out there , but frosty .... like Karen have'nt poked my nose out yet ! Micky has gone to work today ,and looks like Iam covering in the shop on saturday , so if your passing by come in and say hello !Have'nt worked in the shop for yonks so that will be nice , see some of the regulars , have a chat ..... thats what I miss apart from the girls , I miss chatting to the cutomers, aparently Iam good at that !!!???
My Mum is'nt very well at the moment , she looked and sounded dreadful when I was on skype last night ,have'nt ' seen ' her for a week as she as been in Jo'berg at my brothers ,
It's very difficult when she is so far away !
Not much planned for today ,got robed into making some cards for a womans charity so I'll be playing later on .Hugs to all that need them , and those who don't ! Enjoy the sunshine

Good morning Karen, Lexie and all who follow - another lovely day today so I have stripped the bed and got the washing machine on, just got to have a shower now before I carry on with my spring cleaning It does make me feel so much better when the weather is good Enjoy your day Karen - don't spend too much Lexie, I think the best thing about working in the shop was the customers we had in enjoy your playing. I also have a card to finish too - had to go to the Crafty Cow Tuesday to find out how to make it as I couldn't follow the instructions It was a pinflair card and I understood all the instructions which were written but there was a tab which it didn't mention so I didnt start assembling it until I had spoken to Anne. It was just where a butterfly sat - I hadn't got as far as the butterfly to work out where to put it, but you would have thought it would have been in the instructions as there was no mention of it

I also hope Andrea is back safe and sound , Ian phoned looks like his parents in laws are arriving back tomorrow , wanted Mick to collect them from LHR but Iam pretty sure he's working ! Really caused alot of people hassle all this , I workred years ago with a hostie who was on the 747 that went through ash and then became a glider for 17 mins she said very scary , so I think right to be cautious !

Its sunny but chilly here this morning, nearly fell over on the school run knee just decided it wouldn't hold me up no more.... first time it's been like that in a while so brought me back to earth with a thump!!

Have just contacted someone on Ebay who does motorcycle number plates and he is gonna do me one for the mobility scooter with PORTA LOU on it!! Am gonna get some decals and PIMP MY RIDE!!!

Hope Andrea gets home soon.... she hasn't been on for a bit so hopefully that means she is travelling and cannot get to a PC...fingers crossed x

Good luck finishing your card Jacky ....my mate Angie bought a sheet from Crafts U Print the other day and wasn't sure how to make the card up, she showed it about and we came up with about 3 different ways to use the sheet in the end!!

Had a phone call from my mate Lena last night coz we were arranging to meet up at the hossy for coffee when I have my blood test tomorrow.... and she told me her daughter had said she was looking old and tired so had done her hair for her...there was me thinking just a trim and maybe a recolour...but oh no...not Lena.... she has had a loose perm done and had pink highlights put in...her hair is a dark brown/black colour and is quite long!!! It's her 45th birthday on Sunday and although I had already made a card I just had to redo it with a new theme!!!

This is her new one...what do ya think?

I did manage to get out on the scooter yesterday afternoon, took the girls on their bikes down to Tesco to get something nice for tea.....

I dunno what's up with my Georgia at the moment, this past week she has been a stroppy little madam.... she is usually so easygoing and helpful...I think this is the time of the month that will be her 'time' when she starts! Hormonal pre-teens are not a pretty sight !! She has been fine with her sister and her dad, but with me she has been absolutely evil! If I dare to disagree with something she says she rolls her eyes, bites my head off when I am talking to her... tuts at me ... yesterday when we were out she had stopped on her bike to adjust her helmet so I carried on past her in a straight line...and then I gets "You tell us off if we flippin cut you up mum so don't do it to me!!!!!!"

I mean how can I cut her up when I drove the scooter past her side and never altered the steering once Blimey that one came out of the blue!!! I try and take no notice as she is usually so even tempered...but I must admit I did have a go at her about shoulting at me in the street! Little cow!

I don't believe it....... there really are some lovely gentlemen out there still...have just had a phone call that has restored my faith in humanity....

The guy I emailed today on Ebay about the numberplate for the scooter just rang me back.... and he said because he loved the idea so much he was going to do it for me for FREE!!!!!

He said he admired my positivity.... he is 35 and spent 4 years in a wheelchair after being an international rugby player....he broke his back just before his 21st birthday and so he understands how hard it is to have your mobility taken away... he nearly made me cry.....

Awwww aint that sweet..... think he might be getting a lovely thank you card from me...as long as he put his return addy on the envelope!!!

Oh Lou, what a lovely man - that certainly brought tears to my eyes Brilliant card for your friend I was very luck with Sally (or maybe not) when her friends were at that stroppy stage she was in hospital and we were quite close Can't remember Ian ever being stroppy either

Lou what a nice fella , like Jacky I had a few tears ! Lovely card for your Pink haired Mate !As for your daughter , ignore it , she'll ' Get Over It ' as my Dollie says !! My Rupe was a bit horrible to me but think that had more to do with Me and his dad splitting up and me being ill , Dulcie always been 'orrible much worse at that time of the month ! Then she is flippin scary !

Fab card Lou, I had this mad idea sometime ago about colouring just the tips of my hair all different pastel colours but after dying it once purple (colour daded far too quickly) and it looking like I was a member of the granny brigade went off the idea
What a nice man too with the number plate, rugby player huh corrrrrrrrr

Yep Jan, an international Rugby Player on the verge of superstardom apparently.... and it all came to an abrupt end just before he was 21

Mind you he was very philosophical... turns out his wife is one of the nurses who helped him in his physio/rehab and he now is 35 with a lovely wife, new business and 2 adorable kids.... aww bless xxx

My washing dried Lou, thanks for your help apart from the load I forgot to put out, so keep producing the wind as I have just put it out
