Help!, it's Tuesday

Didn't sleep very well. Off to the hospital for a 9.00am appointment later. Fingers crossed it all goes well.
Can't concentrate on much else for the moment so messing about on the internet trying to keep busy.

Phewweee... its hot out! Just wish we could have a good storm and get rid of this heat.
Yesterday Mum had a Mental Health Dr out to see her. She was Polish, but spoke clearly and slowly for Mum to understand her. I couldnt believe she came in a taxi...(not from Poland obvoiusy!!!) She was very nice and said we were doing everything possible, wanted to give Mum another tablet to work alongside her Mirtazipine (Depression tablet) but as soon as she realised Mum was diabetic... she couldnt prescribe it.
We go back to see her in Clinic next month.
Amy is off to the Drs this morning, she has had a sore throat since we came back from holiday.

Jacky... hope you have a brolly! Sure you will enjoy your walk whatever the weather!

Feeling a little more relaxed now. The assessment went OK and it looks like the op should happen before the end of September at the latest. Patient Liason phoned a few minutes ago in response to the letter I sent 2 weeks ago! It had only just arrived on her desk - typical. They are arranging for the consultant to call me with more details so hopefully I won't have to have an examination under anaesthetic then be woken up to discuss further treatment.

I've now got to chase up the opticians to get my presciption sunglasses before we go away. I was told they'd be ready in a few days nearly 2 weeks ago. At least the dentist visit was quick and not too expensive this time.

Didn't need a brolly Karen, it is still very hot, humid and sunny here. Started our walk from Chertsey down the riverside until we got to Shepperton lock where we were supposed to get the ferry across the river. Where the ferry took us last year was all cordoned off and work was being done on it so we thought it had had to go further up or downstream as there was no sign of it. Waited about 10 mins as it was due at 11.00 am when a man came out of the shop opposite to tell us that he had had a phone call that the ferry had broken down. The only way across would have meant walking further to a bridge which would have put at least another hour onto our walk so we just had to turn round and go back the way we came. It was still lovely though the company is good. Glad your appointment went ok this morning Jane - hope you are feeling a little more relaxed now Karen - your Mum's doctor sounds very nice

We still havent had any rain... have got all the windows and doors open - have chased 2 bumblebees and 1 cat out!!! Thats the only problem when doors are left open, and its still hot.
