Morning all - well - its gone midnight

-8 and I'm still up watching the Test Match from Adelaide (where its 28, blue sky and sunny)

Not sure when I'll get to bed and when I'll eventually surface in the morning so have a good day all - hope you are staying warm and comfortable

No snow overnight.... but its cold out, - 6 at the moment.
Amy is pleased to have another day off school. She is still snuffling, but now has a nasty cough. Keith reckons he is starting with a cold as well. If I get it, think things will grind to a halt!!!

Jacky... many thanks for the email... I now fancy marshmallows with a nice cappucino Certainly brightened my morning!

Not sure what is happening today, Keith is all ready to go to hospital if they turn up.

Good morning all,

Well no more snow overnight and the sun is out a bit this morning so dunno how long it will last..... but it looks ever so pretty with the sunshine making the snow glitter!

Well we (the girls and I) went out yesterday in it..... was out for about an hour and a half.... came home... back was uncomfortable so went and sat in bed (about 1pm) with my heat pad on and fell asleep.... woke up at 4.30pm ... I didn't even realise that Ady had come home at 3pm!

We had a fab time though... we walked round to my mum's so the girls could muck up their untouched snow!!! And then we went over the field across the road so they could have a good snowball fight and make snow angels!

They have been badgering me to go out in it again today but as the snow has turned to ice on the pavements I have promised Ady I wont..... wish he had told the girls that tho! God they can nag!!

Gawd knows what time will our night owl Jane be up after watching the cricket!!!

Good morning ladies my fingers wont work quickly enough this morning, it seems to be much colder in my craft room than usual. I have just put the little heater on but wont be staying here too long today. Glad you liked the email Karen I received it from a male friend will have to ask him why someone sent it to him. Hope Amy quickly gets over her cold - there is a spray you can get for your nose to stop you getting it Karen - but I can't remember what it's called think it's something like First Defence.

When I was very pregnant with Ian - living in Woomera - Feb (their summer) extremely hot and we had a proper air conditioner in our bedroom, I would lie on the bed most of the day watching Pakistan v Australia in the Test and hoping Pakistan would win. It was a very exciting match but we only had one channel to watch so didnt have much choice. First thing every morning was Sesame Street, followed by Parliament. Later it was the Bobby Goldsboro show - I used to like him but watching him every day for a few weeks drove me mad. Certain Women and Flying Doctor was really the only things I enjoyed. They had other channels everywhere else in Oz but not in Woomera. Anyway, that is where I learned some of the rules of cricket to make it bearable. Still watch a bit but wouldn't stay up to watch unless it was a close finish maybe.

You snuck in there Lou - good morning to you. I didnt put my heat pad on my back before I got up this morning and I am so stiff - perhaps I should go and put it on as it has certainly made a difference every morning.

Stayed up for the first hour and a half which was the most exciting so was fast asleep by 2.00am.
Hope the library is open - I've finished all my books.

OMG just listening to the news and a woman actually called 999 coz someone nicked her snowman that she'd hand built... when she was told she should not have used the emergency number she told them it was theft cos she had used two pound coins as the snowmans eyes...... UN-BLOODY-BELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!

Amy is building an igloo She is using my washing up bowl as her block maker... is now on block number 7 She wants it big enough to sit in!!! 'IF' she does finish it, I will take a photo!!

Afternoon ladies. Had a fraught morning. Cleared the snow off the car to go to Tesco's to collect two parcels from Tesco direct but had a phone call to say only one come in so I'm waiting to see if second one arrives before I go. Don't want to go twice. Put some washing on and thought it sounded funny as it was heating up and as I didn't want my sweater boiled stopped it put it to spin to get rid of the water. THought it had done that and opened the door and all the water cascaded out It's not supposed to open if there's water in it! Cleared that all up then set it to wash with nothing in it to see if it was overheating - seemed OK so washing is now back in.

Hope Amy enjoys her igloo!

Heard on news yesterday that people were phoning police to complain that people were throwing snowballs!

Can't believe that people are phoning the police for such stupid things. Hope Amy get's her igloo built, she could sleep in it then Obviously feeling a lot better today.
