Maddening Monday! Empty Maddening Monday!

Post  topgran Mon Dec 20, 2010 3:21 pm

Good morning ladies. Where is everyone - still tucked up under the duvet? Snowing here but sun is trying to break through.
Went into town nice and early this morning to beat the rush! Had to go to bank to pay credit card bill which I have always paid at LLoyds - not a LLoyds credit card though but today they said they couldn't do it as the sort code was not one they could do! Then tried Santander (it's their card!) and they couldn't take the payment either. HSBC would but it would cost me £5. In the end I had to transfer the money from Roy's account to mine (fortunately he was with me to alter the payee on the cheque) and now I will have to do an online payment. By this time I was getting a sense of humour failure! Then had a quick trip round Waitrose - Roy had already been to Sainsbury's but I kept losing him as we were doing different shops then meeting up. What should have taken less than an hour ended up being about an hour and a half.
