Re: Manic Monday
Morning Lou and all who follow. The sun is out and the washing will be on the line soon. I've still got Michaela off school as she is still in pain, I have booked a telephone consultation for her so hopefully they will agree to see her today.
My fingers are swollen from all the hawthorn thorns that pricked them yesterday when I was cutting the hedge so I can't do much today
(((HUGS))) to anyone who needs them
Have a good day whatever you are doing

Re: Manic Monday
Morning...
We have lovely sunshine, and what have I got to do today... washing, ironing, hoovering and dusting.
Mum not brilliant today, she must have been up really early as all the lights are on, cushions and photographs all put in a big bin bag, tied up ready to go out. Good job the Carer realised, (its a new carer today) Had a bad day on Saturday, I had a lot on as the carpet fitters were coming and we had to empty the room (not that there was much in there) but once the carpet was down, everything had to be dusted and put back. Kept phoning Mum to check she was ok... and all I got was, I havent seen anyone all day, its not nice being on your own. I had been down 8.30 and Amy went down at 10.30.. this is when it gets hard as I am trying to keep Mum happy and run my own home.
Its all well and good having all this nice weather, but the sunshine makes everything grow in the garden, grass, hedges and weeds! We have lost quite a few shrubs by the looks of it.
Right... coffee break... have a good day x

Re: Manic Monday
Just missed morning, good afternoon all Had a lovely day yesterday - Martin enjoyed his VIP treatment at the motor bike event. Went passed all the queues waiting to get in as he had to go in a different gate, shown to his parking spot and then escorted to the suite where there were free drinks and food. They decided on a bacon bap but was told the baps were still frozen so settled for a full english breakfast. Later had chocolate cake before coming home and my sister did a BBQ for us, Mum, and my older sister so it was a lovely day. My late brothers partner also happened to be in Cheltenham and visited mum while we were there.
Well the garden is now turfed, he has been very busy this morning so off to the garden centre this afternoon
Hope your fingers soon recover Frances, and you get some help for Michaela Karen, glad you have got the carpet down the the room sorted now, that is one thing off your mind. Hugs to you, you could do with a break away Lou, enjoy your time with your friend

Re: Manic Monday
Sounds like a fab day Jacky, glad you enjoyed yourselves x
I think I am having an allergic reaction of sorts to the sunshine... maybe one of my meds makes me super susceptible or something.......
I have a nasty rash (like hundreds of raised tiny blisters that are hard and itchy) on my hands, fingers, feets, ankles and face and neck......
When I get hot it makes the hands swell and itch so bad.... my face and neck are burning cos I have just plastered myself in Aloe Vera Gel.....
My other hand is much worse but that photo is blurry!!!!

Re: Manic Monday
Oh Lou, hope you have spoken to your doctor, that looks like the rash I had when I came back from Italy last year but mine was confined to my shins - I thought it was the suncream but the Dr. said it was prickly heat.
Hope your day was better in the end Karen

Re: Manic Monday
Oh poor you Lou - that looks sore. Hope you get to the bottom of it soon and get some relief.
Re: Manic Monday
Evening all.
I will join in more some time tomorrow, but my youngest daughter and grandson arrived today and are staying until Thursday, then she is going back home, then on Friday, they are off to see the inlaws, don't think her husband has seen them for a while.
We have had a lovely sunny few days here in Norfolk but this afternoon we had a few spots of rain, think that might be the last of the sun for a few days

Re: Manic Monday
We just had the garden re-turfed and went out and bought a new sprinkler so it's bound to rain now Sorry all.
