Been down towards the city to see the Jacaranda trees - they are stunning and pictures can't do them justice or capture the wonderful perfume. Bought a Christmas tree and a few baubles in BigW sale and signed up with Foxtel (Sky). Will try to get the TV tomorrow +fridge-freezer, washing machine and microwave!

Popping round to the new house at 5.00pm to measure up and find out how the aircon, water heating and underfloor heating works ... check where power points are ....... where is the phone/internet connection.... and floor space for a new rug....
Never a dull moment. Got the use of an airbed till the beds arrive on Monday so it looks like we'll definately be camping from Saturday onwards!

I was awake at 6 this morning and couldn't get off to sleep again.
I am tryig to get a few bithday cards made, as over the next few months I have quite a few to send out. I will put them on my blog as I make them.

Good afternoon - I did write a post in this morning and then pressed the wrong button on my phone so lost it all and I didn't have time to do it all again as we were off on our 5 mile walk. We went to Frensham Little Pond where they happened to be filming Snow White and the Huntsman. Pity Johnny Depp turned down the part There was one very steep hill to climb - great views but we are all over 60 and puffing and panting apart from the person who lead the walk - 80 years old and has done the walk 3 times in the last couple of weeks to make certain of the route She is so fit - I just wish I could keep up with her.

Hope you got your birthday cards made Marion. Jane the photos are stunning and I bet you just can't wait to move into your new house.

Evening...

Had a busy day, been to hospital with Keith this afternoon. The morning was spent washing, putting it out and mopping floors.
Contemplating on making my own mincemeat for mince pies this year, hoping I havent left it too late. Got a lovely recipe for it.
Football this evening.... good job I have taped Dancing with the Stars!!

Sue put a recipe on the forum last year, I was going to make it then but didn't get round to it May have a go this year, but don't hold your breathe. Hope Keith is getting on ok Karen

Hello ...... you can buy mincemeat at Sainsburys !!!!!
Big step today been discharged from the dressing clinic .....don't officially see Sam the man ( plastic surgeon ) untill 6th Dec , so thats goodnews .Just got to get over the hurdle of friday , when I get results ....
Oh by the way I 've lost 2 stone since I came out of hospital !!! but was a stone heavier than when I went in .... confused ... but I know what I mean .... stone lighter than before op !!!
Iam going to lose a bit more too ....

lol Lexie!! Yes... but I want to go to the hassle of making my own!! slurpiing a bit of alcohol just to make sure there isnt too much in the mincemeat... adding a bit more if needed - either to myself or the mixture!

Lexie once you've made your own mincemeat you will never buy it again! And my recipe is so easy and you only have to leave it for two weeks before using it! So none of this making it months ahead!

It's in the recipe section Jane.

Keep forgetting - its way down the bottom with the galleries and I forget to scroll that far!

I had forgotten about the recipe... like the fact that its ready after 2 weeks!
