Woeful Wednesday

Our poor account has taken a hammering in the last 48 hours. So far we have signed up for Foxtel (Sky), Adam (internet and phone but can't connect for 10 days so I'll be off-line for a while)....... and today we bought a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, phones, TV and unit for it, DVD player ....... and paid the rest on the sofas and 2 single beds ......OUCH!

Tomorrow we have to transfer a huge amount to the conveyancer to pay for the house ready for completion on Friday... OUCH, OUCH, OUCH.

Jane, OMG, no wonder your accout is going ouch ouch ouch !!! Just try and think though of all that lovely sun you have for free, and we are all here having to put the heating on to keep warm

That reminds me I had my £200 last week, compliments of the govenment cough cough!!! to help towards my heating bills.
Dull looking here today. I am off to the charity shop this morning and then meeting a friend for lunch. She is on a diet with Slimming World, but I am sure a bacon and egg baguette isn't allowed

No wonder you titled today's thread Woeful Wednesday Jane!!! Beans on toast for the next month then?? well at least you have a toaster!
Its a bit dull here, havent heard the forecast yet... but I think I am going to have a baking day. Sponge cake, scones a few mincey pies (to get me in the spirit!) and some buns (or cupcakes as they are now known!)
Well... at least that is my plan!

Supper time here for me and an early night. Didn't sleep too well last night .... too much to think about but we're nearly there now and it will be lovely to have a house of our own again (even if moving day on Friday is expected to reach 33 degrees!!!!)

Got to pop up Roy's later as his daughter is coming down for the evening. She's working in London at the moment and is getting bored with her own company every night. As he won'y be back from work I need to let her in and I think I've been nominated to cook!
