Hope you are all managing to keep warm - can't believe those temperatures - any sign of snow yet?

Spent the morning in Mount Barker a largish town in the Adelaide Hills and had a great coffee and lunch at Millies - the journey through the back roads of the Onkaparinga and Adelaide Hills were amazing and some of the small hamlets will look stunning in a couple of months when the autumn colours appear!

Baby sitting tonight and a busy day tomorrow - my first as a volunteer at the church cafe which serves coffees, cakes and light lunches from 10.00 till 2.30 (averages 60 - 70 lunches on a busy Friday) The cafe is well used by the whole community and people passing through the area so should be interesting.

Good morning Jane and all who follow - fingers not working too well yet, the house hasnt warmed up The lounge is toasty as I put the fire on first thing and closed the door, but the rest of the house hasn't caught up and now I am in my craft room, it's freezing. Going to grab some things and take them downstairs to do

Hope the chiropodist sorted out your Mum Karen - my sister is trying to find one now to visit the house as she can't get Mum out in her wheelchair at the moment and she is diabetic. She used to be able to get out of the back door and straight into the wheelchair but she can't get out the door now and there is no way my sister could get her down the step on her own. They have a portable ramp so that it can go out the patio door but it is too steep for my sister to do, Mum would end up at the end of the garden with my sister flying after her

Hope the lunches go ok Jane. Lovely to see Lexie has managed to get on here

Hope it warms up for you all soon -3,-3, -5, -1 at night for the next few days I see! - its 17 outside at 11.00pm here! - Just back from baby sitting and now off to bed ..... busy day tomorrow. Won't need an electric blanket or hot water bottle - 24 inside with no heating

The wheelchairs not heavy Janet, it's Mum My sister is smaller than me and Mum has put on so much weight since she was disabled. She has got a proper wheelchair but she also has a travel one that my sister used when she took her shopping or to the hospital.

I am warm now, thank you. I have washed all the towels and bedding today and the humidity is higher too

Gosh Jacky, if your sister is smaller than you, then she really must find it hard, you are such a petite lady yourself glad you are warmer, its awful when you cant get yours bones to warm up
