Morning girls.

Sorry I din't get here yesterday, was up and out before 8am, and didn't get back until 2pm, then I had a snooze

I have to go to the surgery this morning so shall be late going to the charity shop.

Looks really cold outside today, though I can see the sun peeping through.

Its lovely and warm in here, I left the heat on last night

Wrap up warm if you are going out.

White over here, looks cold out - just seen my friend striding out on her morning walk, hat, gloves and scarf.... here I am still in dressing gown!
Well... today is the day, going for my first mammogram - so nervous, but its got to be done - boobs are already tender as it's that time of the month oh the joys of being a woman!
Keeping myself busy this morning, hoovering, dusting and ironing.

Good morning to you all -7 when I got up but now only -4 watching the birds bathing in the waterfall on the pond - they must be mad. Still very dry here, my hair has gone really strange, feels very thin and nothing there. I have changed my shampoo and conditioner which is supposed to make it feel thicker and more body think I will go back to my old one.

You will be fine at the mammogram Karen - deep breaths and stay relaxed Hope the charity shop is nice and warm Marion and enjoy the last Friday at school Janet.

The sun has just come streaming through the front window and door, brightens it up a bit. Have a good day all.

Morning ladies. Beautiful sunshine here but very cold. Looking forward to getting some warmth next week but even the Red Sea temps seem a bit low this year- only in the teens instead of twenties! maybe I'd better pack a jumper! Got to go to PO today but frst got to wait in for postman for Roy's contact lenses. Hope they turn up as he was expecting them to come yesterday and they didn't.

Good morning girls and sorry you have been sorely lacking in my company lately! Have been having problems with AOL orr BT...not sure which, both insist its the other. But anyway have done a total re-instal off my AOL and Netgear software and touch wood its been ok today! Am seriously considering kicking AOL to the kerb cos they are complete idiots when ya phone for help and to make it worse you are racking up a phone bill at the same time, can never understand their operator and are put on hold so often you may as well talk to yourself!

Am really peed off today and in a very blue mood.

As you may know I am 40 on Tuesday and my hubby was trying to arrange a surprise for me. He phoned me yesterday morning from work telling me not to ask questions, pack enough clothes for all of us for 2 nights....and said no more.

Well when he got home last night I asked him certain questions and eventually he told me where we were going.....and I had to tell him......in floods of tears....that I didn't think I could handle the journey, let alone how much colder it is up North and also that bad weather was expected this weekend. It turns out we were going to visit Shell and then another friend in Stockport after her.....but no matter which way I cut it I just cannot imagine being any colder than I am at the moment....my liver is having trouble dealing with my arthritis meds (methotrexate) so have had to reduce them again so am stiff as a board and in constant pain....I just can't do it.

Ady, rightly so, was pretty annoyed and upset. I spoke to Shell and Kaz and they both totally understand, having health issues oif their own, the kids have been very understanding, cos lets face it I have ruined everyones weekend....

I just feel like a complete selfish ungrateful \'girl doggy\'

Awww bless you Lou, don't feel guilty, it's your birthday after all and I know you appreciate the thought but I am afraid sometimes men don't think everything through. At least you have a good reason, not like me refusing to go on Martin's birthday trip. Sending you big gentle It's not your fault. Thanks for the hugs girls, am feeling a little better. Shell has just phoned me and told me that they may have had to cancel anyhow....overnight her heating boiler broke down so she has no heat in the house.....they are hoping someone can come and have a look tonight but if not it will be Monday. Don't envy her being there with no heating on what is meant to be a very very cold weekend x

Well... everything went ok, wasnt as bad as what I thought it was going to be. Just got to wait now for the letter.
Its a cold evening, just ordered the shopping, hopefully there wont be too much snow and my shopping will arrive safely!

Typical man though - they try to do the right thing and think they've done something great but usually they've not thought it through completely and forget something essential. What with your meds and the weather I'm not surprised you're having a bad time. Sending massive (but very gentle) hugs.

Love the cuttlebug description of a mammogram! Tell you what though... that machine HAS got to be designed by a man! If it was a woman, it would be pretty, pink and glittery!

Having waited in for the postie yesterday they didn't come but turned up this morning instead!
