Good morning ladies.

I am starting back to a workshop that I used to go to before John got too ill. I was sorry to leave it as we really did learn things.

The sun was out at 7am here, I was going to be doing housework today, but if its nice I just might get in the garden and finish off what I was doing the other day.

Then at tea time tonight I am going to Deborah's, its her husbands birthday today so we are having tea and cake.

Hope you all enjoy the day Very Happy

Good morning Marion, I wish there was a craft group round here to go to. I think I will look into it again. I was going to do parchment work but it was on about 4.00 in the afternoon on a Wednesday which wasn't a good day for me as Martin worked then and would just be getting home - now he's retiring Very Happy

Ruths dad is picking Callie up for a walk about 11.30 today and then tonight I have been invited to their house for dinner. Hope the sun comes out soon here.

Morning...

Bit cloudy here at the moment, but there is a bit of blue sky floating around!
Keith has gone to hospital, should be back by lunch time.
Hoping to get a bit of me time as Amy is at school this morning, so providing puppies sleep... I can play!
Enjoy your day x

Jacky, what a pity you don't have a craft workshop anywhere near to you. Mind you, I used to go to one about five minutes from me, but the trouble was, I think the people that were going knew more than the lady giving them! It really was a waste of money so I stopped going.

When I go to a workshop, I like to try different things, not just sticking an image on a card with a peel off greeting Sad

Glad you said that Marion - I did go to one but I knew more than the person running it. She would say what we were doing the next week and to bring in things, then she would come armed with ready prepared things so everyone's card looked the same. Felt like a child again Laughing Waste of time and money and I ended up helping the two people either side of me. The one lady said she wouldn't bother going any more and we were car sharing so I didn't feel bad giving up too. She came round to my house several times to do things but unfortunately had cancer of the throat so didn't come again. I am still in touch as she lives next door to my friend I worked with.

Jacky, your workshop sounds like the last one I went to. Everything was cut out to size ready, instead of letting us do it ourselves, and yes, everyones cards were the same. More like being at a nursery before you started school !
Sorry to hear about your friend. Does she still make cards or not?

Yes she still makes cards although she always says the're not as good as mine but she hasn't got all the stuff I have collected so hers are very basic. She is 82 and does extremely well and has just started using a computer.

Jacky, I have an email friend of that age, and about ten years ago she wanted to try something new, so she started doing parchment craft. She went for about 6 lessons and then just got on with it herself.
And her cards are beautiful, she must have so much patience.

Jacky I'm planning on starting some workshops/classes after Easter in my house. Can only manage to have 5 or 6 people but still in the planning stage at the moment. I'll let you know when I've sorted them.

Going to a women's breakfast next Saturday and plan to hand out 150 flyers! Hope to get my classes up and running after Easter too. I'm going to put up some notices in our local supermarket and community centre if there isn't much response.
