Morning everyone, hope those that are ill are feeling a tad better today or have drunk so much toddy they no longer care about being ill he he Smile It's finally dry here and I'm able to make it to the Mediaeval Fair after all, whooppee! he he I'm such a big kid he he Smile

I'm suffering as I was a naughty girl Friday and yesterday Sad Pete bought me a huge box of Maltesers to cheer me up when I was going stir crazy ..... no I haven't finished them he he I still have half a box left Smile I'm suffering because of the way I eat them ,,,,,, tut tut tut get your minds out of the gutter he he Smile When I eat them I hold them on the roof of my mouth, let the chocolate melt and the honeycomb pops as its melting and it gives a really weird sensation on the roof of the mouth he he You have to try it if you haven't before. Well I've done it so often that I've taken a layer of skin off the roof of my mouth so can't eat any more for a while he he . I know I'm weird he he Smile

Hope you have a great day ladies, stay warm and keep those hot toddys flowing Smile Hope you get all your cards finished as you wanted Jan Smile As for Janet .... get to bed woman hehe Smile
Hugs to all Smile

Was going to say good morning but see it's afternoon now so good afternoon all. Hope you enjoy your fair Jen and that your mouth gets better soon. I've done something similar in the past eating fruit pastilles!. Hope all with colds, bugs etc are feeling a bit better and Andrea hope your back is better too. Very grey and miserable here was quite foggy first thing. Went into Fleet to do a bit of shopping and the traffic wardens were out in force. Obviously they have no Christmas spirit- never seen them out on a Sunday before!

Afternoon all, have just got up for a couple of minutes to check my emails and the forum Laughing Still feel the same as before - just sent Martin down to the shops to get some soluble asprin as I remember the last time I had a throat like this that's what the doctor ordered - gargling with asprin. Not very nice but it took the pain out of it. Feels like I have swallowed razor blades, it's a long time since I have felt so bad so I'm lucky really Very Happy Glad you got to the Mediaeval Fair Jen. Hope everyone enjoys their day. Didnt stop raining here all day yesterday so was nice to be tucked up in bed Very Happy

Happy memories!

Works even better with Tim Tams (the Australian version of Penguins) as they are slighty more porous, even more chocolatey, and have a lovely honeycomb texture and taste -a bit like Crunchies. Bite diagonally opposite corners before sucking.

and years ago you used to get a walnut on the bottom on the inside and one on the top Evil or Very Mad
I used to love dunking a bar of chocolate in my coffee and then sucking it, was yummy, melted Mars bar as a topping on a cake is nice too and the only way I would eat Mars bar Laughing
I used to nibble all the chocolate off my Bounty before eating the coconut bit in the middle too.

You have me thinking now Jan. I remember when my nephew was young talking to my sister about them being so much smaller than when we had them. He is the same age as you and I haven't notice them changing since then. Maybe it is because we were smaller. When I was about 14 I was asked by a neighbour if I could pick her daughter up from school for her, when I went in to get her from the first year classroom I commented to the teacher, what a shame they didnt have the big rocking horse any more. She pointed it out to me and it was tiny - I thought it was the size of a real horse Laughing Laughing Sally mentioned one day that the chairs in her playschool were really really high when they did work. She wouldnt believe me that they were just normal dining room chairs as the playschool was in the teachers house. She had little tables and chairs for them to play with things but when they did their writing the sat at the dining table and had to be lifted onto the chairs. Laughing Wouldn't happen now though Shocked
