Good morning Janet and all who follow Went to bed early and was asleep at midnight until Jayne rung, vaguely remember saying Happy New Year before drifting off again Staying home today, not going anywhere and apart from dinner I wont be doing a whole lot either, hope everyone has a great day and Happy New Year to you all

We were in bed early as well as we do not celebrate this new year, our new year's eve is 31st October.

I have two friends birthdays today and haven't got round to making cards for them and when I spoke to them this morning they both said I hope you made my birthday cards, so thats my next job, I am tidying my craft work table for your inspection

We are staying in today and having a roast beef dinner, I do love a roast mmmm.

I hope your all enjoyed your night what ever you done, are any of you hung over? whats your best hangover cure? mine when I use to drink was toast with honey and Iron bru, it always worked.

Well I had better get back to tidying up.

Best hangover cure I know is have another drink but find if I don't drink cheap vodka don't get them, Smirnoff all the way ladies

Good morning - just! I too went to bed before midnight but didn't go to sleep. There was a party in the next road I think- no loud music but loud talking - male voices! I don't mind that at New Year but this one went on till 4.30. It kept going quiet so I would start to drift off then it would start again so I think they were inside but came out to smoke.

I'm not good without sleep so feel rough today. My father would have said "like death warmed up!" Is that a Yorkshire expression? It certainly describes how I feel. This year can only get better - I hope!

Use the same expression here in Kent to Sue so no idea where it originates from

We had a lovely time at my friends house - had a dvd with all different types of races on it - Sheep, cheese rolling, mascot racing etc. and we had a betting night Only used the money with the game though We took Molly with us as she doesnt like fireworks and we didn't get home until 2.30am. Had a text from someone at midnight but didn't recognise the number which wasn't on my phone so just sent a Happy New Year whoever you are text back to them Didn't wake up until 9.30 and didnt get up until 10.30 Haven't done that for years Having a quiet day today but no hangover, I only drink Smirnoff too Jan

Good evening ladies Happy new year to you all, we have had a lovely dinner followed by chocolate goodies then watched tv. I fancied a walk to post box to post some letters and was shocked to be turned back has the road was blocked off by police due to a murder A 25 year old girl was found dead in her car at about 1 am this morning

OMG how awful. What a start to the New Year for her family

Well I had a fab new year... didn't go to bed till 3.30am this morning..... and then I was up at 8.30am to get the roast beef in the oven for dinner!!!

Had my first ever go at Karaoke last night... my poor neighbours, mind you they are, shall we say, not averse to making a racket any time of the year, so tough luck!!!

Am feeling a bit tired now so will head off to bed soon i think, but then I may just have a go on the WII!!!!

Slept through most of New Year's Eve - woken up by fireworks but soon conked out again!
Managed another 11 hours last night too!
Must have been all those Nytol, Paracetamol and Lemsips!

Hope you are feeling a lot better for it though Jane.

Jane you should be a bit careful using paracetamol and Lemsip together as the Lemsip has paracetamol in it as well it might only be the All In One Lemsip but worth having a look at the packaging just in case

sorry - slight exageration - didn't actually take Lemsip (not allowed with my meds) just had honey and lemon!

My lot always swear by Irn Bru Mikki
Personally I can't stand even the smell of Irn Bru
But seeing as I haven't had a drink in well over 2 years now then a hangover is not a problem
We slept all the way through the bells and woke up in our chairs at 7.30 the next morning
Were we exhausted or what?
We took it easy all day yesterday and had a game on Alan's Wii last night
Today has once agin been about chilling and hopefully we will get the tree and the rest of the things down tomorrow
