A very good morning to you all, and its lovely to back with you all, I hope you are all well or feeling better today. There is a bit of wet on the windoow this morning lets hope its not snow.!!!!! affraid Had a good holiday but on the way home our friend phoned to say when he tried to fire the boiler up for us it started knocking, the pipes on the north side of the house had frozen up, he phoned around our friends and got some blow heaters for us, and by the time we were back home the hall and loft were warming through, 3 hours and two hair dryers later we had the water through and a little while later the pipes for the heating got going. We were very stupid and didnt leave the heating on low while we were away, we wont make that mistake again affraid affraid affraid Thank goodness for good friends. The heating has been on ever since but cant get the place warm Crying or Very sad Heard a funny noise from the loft in the early hours and thought, oh boy, water??? so got my coffee and signed on to have a read of the forum. Hope you all have a lovely day, keep warm, lol! Janetxxx

Glad you had a good holiday hun... and just as well that as you say you have good friends...hope the boiler and its pipes are pain free for the forseeable future hun xx

Well my kids have got the dready lurgy again... only 5 days back at school and they are feeling totally pants Crying or Very sad My eldests nose is soooo sore she is scared to wipe it... they were both coughing all night long and both feel really crummy this morning... so dose them up and keep them warm I suppose.... Its like Deja Vu... I did all this last month! Evil or Very Mad Poor little loves.... I feel sorry for them as I am not the most patient person where sicky people are concerned! Even when they are my own kids! At least I am consistent Laughing !!!

Weather seems to have warmed up.... cold making was for the rain and gales we have been warned about I expect!

Hope you all have a lovely day, stay warm and keep well xxx

Good morning ladies Smile Great to see you back Janet, you have been very much missed Smile Hope you manage to get the house warm and your pipes are ok, Mike just said that if the house has got really cold then it will take a long while for the house to warm up because the cold walls suck the heat from the building, he is a plumber so if you have any probs just let us know, he can't touch the gas side because he let his Corgi ticket expire but the pipe work is no probs Wink
Schools and doctors surgeries great places to catch all the lurgies that are going about Mad hope the children are feeling better soon Lou and you sound just like me, have no patience (pardon the pun) with sick people (but then I get Jan flu and am so poorly Crying or Very sad ) lol!

Mike has decided we are going out dfor a walk at some point today so when I have had a few more cuppas then might be in the right frame of mind to want to Laughing

Good afternoon ladies, not so cold here today and was sunny first thing but clouding over now Neutral Glad to see you back Janet, so glad you were lucky with your pipes. We have noticed a house down the road from us with frost still on the roof whereas everyone elses has thawed so wondered if they are away and left the heating off Crying or Very sad Hope they don't have any trouble with burst pipes. We don't know who lives there. Martin also said it is a good indication for burglars too What a Face Sorry to hear your little ones are ill again Lou, thought the cold weather may have killed off the bugs. Hugs to everyone who need them Very Happy

Good afternoon ladies. Welcome back Janet. Glad your pipes hadn't burst. I had one go but fortunately it was outside. There was a covering of snow on the ground this morning when I got up but only at front of house - none at back - very strange!

I've been and tended sick person this afternoon. Washed up, made him something to eat as he hasn't eaten anything since Friday, changed the bed and hoovered. More than I've done for me. The he said " Could you cut me some more bread in case I want some later and make another cup of tea before you go?" He's a terrible patient! Just hope I don't catch it whatever it is.

Thought I'd catch up with posts while I'm waitinf for some ink to dry on acetate. Seems to be taking ages!

Good evening everyone

Now just before Christmas i said i would be on the forum more...................that was about 4 week's ago sorry Sad

I just can't believe how time goes by so quickly apart from work yes i have been busy hence not being on here, for example the past couple of days i have been out & about with friends & went craft shopping and had a great time.

I have now purchased a cuttlebug and slowly getting embossing folders & die cutss for them and now tempted with the cricut but a bit too expensive for me at the mo, even though i tried bidding on E Bay but it was too high Sad i will get one one day though.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas & New Year get any nice goodies?

I am hoping to be on here a lot more, having saying that i am going to 2 craft fayres at the end of the month - Exeter on the 24th Jan & Stevenage on the 1st Feb, anyone else going? Oh and the Make it @ Fanborough at the end of Feb!!

Catch you all later

Ours was exactly the same Sue, I looked out of the back window in the morning and all the frost and snow had gone then Martin came up and said to look out the front. The road and pavements were covered Shocked Hope Roy recovers soon, for your sake Laughing

Sally came this evening to have another shower and just after she got here she had a phone call from her boyfriend who was going back to Colchester. He had an accident on the M25. A lorry pulled out from the first lane as he was overtaking it and was by the cab so he was knocked and spun into the fast lane but managed to control it and steer back to the hard shoulder. The AA has now brought him back home but not looking good for his car Crying or Very sad He was so lucky that he was ok and nothing else hit him. It was a Latvian driver who couldnt see him that side of the vehicle. Why don't they have mirrors which allow them to see that side properly Mad Anyway, the main thing is, he is ok. He is going to have to catch the train early in the morning to get back to camp in time.
