Lovely and sunny here... but the paths are very slippy - have been practising some moves that I think even Torvill and Dean havent even done Laughing Hoping the sun will help melt the ice.. before I have to go back up to Nursery!
Not much happening here today... must get on with a card and thats about it.

Have a fun day whatever you are doing... take care

Morning all sun is out here at the mo sunny bit disapointed at the mo my daughter was coming over with Lucy but she has had to wait for a plumber she had a burst pipe last night, they walked in the kitchen and there was steam coming out of the cupboard, so she has no water at the mo, so needs to get it fixed but am really disapointed, she took Sam and Holly to school, with there toothbrushes and paste to clean there teeth, she always makes sure they cleen there teeth.

So i have the day to myself so might just start some cards going up to wigan on friday till saturday to visit in laws, and wanted to get some valentine cards done for sunday.

Hope all the people with ailments are feeling better and in not to much pain.

Right am off take care if you have to go out, and keep warm.

Morning all Smile Its frosty here and was sunny when I got up but has clouded over now. My delivery of ribbons has arrived Smile Loads of lovely ones, some very wide ones which I shall use as a panel or border and either stamp on them or place gems and/or narrower ribbons or lace on top of. Others are for tying on the cards Smile I'm really pleased with them, but I have a challenge for you Jan Smile Can you think of a way of storing all these 1m lengths of ribbons ? I tried the washing peg method but they get too curly and need to be ironed before putting on a card, so over to our storage genius for ideas he he Smile The only thing I can think of is to do loads more washing and have a container for each colour scheme.

OH wants to go to Hobbycraft today to get some more mosaic stones, he's covering a photo frame with oriental mosaic, see he's caught the bug too he he. Anyway, it would be rude of me to let him go on his own so I have been a dutiful girlfriend and said I would go with him, purely for company of course he he Smile So off to get ready - I'll pop back later to see how you all are and to let you know if I succumbed to the treasures in the shop he he.

Hugs for all feeling poorly and anyone who needs a hug today Smile

Could you tell us how you made it and if possible a picture Laughing

Afternoon everyone. Been lovely and sunny here all day so far but beginning to cloud over now Neutral Went food shopping this morning, a little bit of h*******k and then came up to look at the forum and couldn't get on. Tried a few times but seemed to have lost the internet connection. I ended up switching everything off and starting again and got here at last. I thought no-one had been posting on here at first glance as nothing was hightlighted so now have to go through carefully so I don't miss anything Laughing Got my ribbons too Very Happy Very Happy

Hiya all,

Hope you are all OK.... have had a bit of a rotten day again myself I am afraid...

Well I had my Rheumatology Clinic appt today at the local hospital..... They kept me waiting an hour before I was seen (they had forgotten me), the nurse was lovely but rotten with a needle!!

Then she shocked me by saying that her recommended course of action was to admit me to the hospital for 5 day period for an intensive physio/hydrotherapy/respite course. After I had got off the floor I told her that was not possible because of the kids.... I don't know how the kids would be about me being away all that time and without having a car visits to see me would be minimal. So I can't really do it, can I? Not to say that it does not appeal... coz she seemed really positive that it would help me immensly. So I am in a quandry...... should I or shouldn't I???

What do you think ladies?? Help me out here....

Don't know where today has gone! Took Roy to drs again this morning. He seemed to be in there ages. As we thought he hasn't got gout- they think it's a skin infection now. Apparently it is worse that it was last week. So now has stronger antibiotics and increased diuretics and has been signed off for rest of week. Then went home for breakfast, then took him to do some shopping, then my son turned up - wanted to use my credit card 'cos he hasn't got one to pay a bill ( he did give me the money!). By this time it was lunchtime then I did Roy's tax stuff for the accountant, walkwd to PO and it was very cold round the ears - could have done with a hat on. Had a phone call from my cousin to say that my aunt had died last Thursday so was on phone to her for about half an hour. I've decided I don't like January as my sister died 6 years ago on 16th, my mum 3 years ago on 22nd and now my aunt on 15th. It used to be all birthdays in January, now it's all anniversaries of deaths!
Going to have a quiet evening watching TV I think.

Glad you're feeling better Jen.

Jan - How's Jayne today?

Lou you should do what they want if it's going to help. Can't your OH or someone look after the children?

Lou I would suggest that you go for the respite care for 5 days. It might be difficult during that time, but I'm sure that your children, OH, family and friends will chip in as they would rather have your pain levels reduced than demand that you stay home to tend to their needs. It really will help and you will be happier pain free. Once they have it moderated then you could have weekly or monthly day treatments to continue with their good work and boy will it make a difference to your life Smile Please think about it carefully as they would not suggest it if it wouldn't make a difference.

Hugs Smile

I bought some storage for pens/pencils and more flowers and curved tweezers [easier to handle gems and flowers with Smile ]in Hobbycraft today, oh and a pack of gold satin card for matting and layering and making more embossed frames [will post picture tomorrow as its too dark now]. Wasn't I a good girl he he

Lou I would say if that's what they recommend then do it, the girls will cope without you for a few days, saying that I hated being in hospital and couldn't wait to get home, if your really going to benefit from it though then do it, sounds like you will be busy in there so hopefully the time will pass really quick oh and a word of warning if your having a needle inserted anywhere don't expect your best mate or hubby/boyfriend to hold your hand they will be squirming in the corner, eh Di Wink lol!
You were good Jen well done Laughing
Haven't spoken to Jayne today Sue but will let you all know how she is after I have spoken to her a bit later Smile
You will have to show us your results Jan when you have done them Smile

Lou, it's important that you look after yourself first, or you may have trouble later looking after your family. You have got to remember that you are important too I love you They wouldn't suggest the treatment if they didn't think you needed it, you know what it's like getting anything from the NHS.

Very Happy
