Morning everyone Overcast here again today and colder than yesterday. Craft Group this afternoon. Morning all, great to see you back with us Jayne Oh wow what a gorgeous bird Jacky it must have been wonderful to see in the flesh, so to speak ... not insinuating that you were at a naturist park or anything like that he he ... weather is way too cold for that he he.

I've been playing with another fun and messy technique, not made a card with it yet but it has potential he he. Wrap an elastic band around a stamping block and stamp with Versamark. Then apply randomly to your backing paper, sprinkle with embossing powder and voila a new look he he

I just love reading up in the "Try a new technique" section as some are being revived again after 3 years or more he he.

I have the attention span of a goldfish at the moment
doc has signed me off for another week, but I think next week
I will go back to work even if its only 3 days a week for a while

Goldfish is good far better than a slug .... that's the state I get in when worn out and ill he he Just think of all the calories you'll loose running around forgetting what you were doing or getting he he

Just had a phone call from the lady I go to Craft group with and she isnt well so not going. Quite pleased really as they are doing teabag folding, which I'm not keen on, so have decided to stay home and carry on with my parchment card

When are we going to get to see this parchment Jacky, I for one cant wait

It takes forever but nice to do. Not good for a quick card. Doing it for Mum's birthday or mothers day Mothers day is first, Mums birthday is 31st March so have plenty of time

Well sarah came over yesterday and we were looking at wedding dresses on the internet and mother of the bride outfits am getting excited now pity have to wait till next year.

Might get some cards done today, hubby at work this after so have the house to myself great
Have started my new tablets for my gout, and on sunday and monday was in pain with my back and it was sore, took a tablet monday when i got up tues morn there was no pain in my back and it wasnt sore derek said perhaps i had gout in my back ha ha.

Jayne nice to see you back dont rush back to work they dont think any better of you and if the doctor dosnt think your fit and listen to them, no good rushing back to work then have to have longer off work.

Its dull and overcast here but not too cold so that'll do for me... knee playing up a bit as I have done a fair whack of walking over the last few days and it didn't help slipping and twisting it on the stairs last night lol coz I was sooooo tired! Took my trusty stick this morning! LOL

Had a bit of a pants day yesterday.... turned on the lounge light yesterday morning and blew the fuse so ended up with NO LIGHTS in the house at all yesterday till about 6pm last night!!! I ended up with a headache because of no lighting hence not being on yesterday evening!

I also received my forms to claim DLA (Disability Living Allowance) and had to wade through them.... god it's sooooo depressing to talk about everything you can't do isn't it? Put me on a real downer for the afternoon it did.... have just finished them now and scanned and copied apprpriate bits of paperwork for it and am gonna stuff it in the postbox later! Keep your fingers crossed! I could really do with being able to afford public transport when I have hospital appointments!! Things are so tight at the moment what with the credit crunch!! If I can afford to buy a few gadgets to make things easier too it will take a bit of the pressure off poor Ady as he is the one taking up the slack bless him x

Got a School Governors meeting this afternoon so that'll be a couple of hours at least..... and I hate walking home in the dark, at least I'll have my stick to whack em with if anyone tries anyfing!!

Oh dear, I sound like a moany old moo this morning don't I???? Sorry girls, will pull my socks up and cheer up I promise x

Hi Lou sorry your not feeling too good, dont wont to be nosy but have you had a meeting or a talk with DWP about what you could claim, i get the low rate DLA for care becasue i have RSI in my right wrist through my job and have to wear a support with the steel inside it, and i am sure there are places that will lend you stuff to make your life easier, i used to work for the DWP not on the benfits side but you learn a lot while you are there you need to give someone a ring and find out what your entitled to other people get everything they can,

Just tell me to go away if i am being nosy but you must get these things you have worked and your hubby works so go for it girl.

Form filling has got to be one of my top five depressing things to do, all the junk they give me at the job centre to fill in all the time is nothing but a total pain in the butt as it gets me nowhere because they still dont give me any actual cash

When i was off work with my back i wanted to claim incap so i rang them and they filled the forms in over the phone then they just send it out to you to sign, easy one of the questions was do you or your hubby have £15,000 in savings i started to laugh i said if i had they amount do you think i would be ringing you
