Good morning ladies Smile White frost here to this morning and a little colder than yesterday Mad
If someone/anyone that visits your home starts you have every right to ask them to leave Jan, I would anyway wouldn't care who they were or thought they were. Don't know your circumstances but presuming you are off work sick or something then your boss should in no way be pressuring you to return to work or leave, if he does take him to a tribunal.
Hope your feeling a little better today Mikki Smile and Sue hope your not feeling so poorly Smile
Have a good trek Janet but wrap up Smile
Have a good day everyone and stay safe Smile

Morning!

Just been up to the Drs. for my thyroid blood test, the surgery was full... but I didnt know one single person in there! At one time you could always see someone that you knew and have a chat with. Village must be growing!!!

Its a lovely frosty, but sunny start to the day here. Back up to collect from Nursery later. And then Parents Evening with Amy this evening! Wont be able to see all the teachers.. its organised chaos when you go. You have a 5 minute appointment but it only takes a few people to take an extra few minutes and the teacher is way behind. I have tried to see all the teachers that I didnt see last time - but a couple of them wont be there anyway.

Hugs to those that need them, take care

Good morning all, have had a quick tidy round, put some steak and kidney on in the slow cooker and have done 2 loads of washing and 3rd one in Shocked What's happening to me Laughing Laughing Laughing Wanted to get chores out of the way, now to sort out what I am taking this afternoon to the craft group Rolling Eyes I will take the new papers I got yesterday to show them off Very Happy They are really good. Went to the Crafty Cow yesterday and got a few stamps and stamp pads and ordered the papers which were with me by the time I got home Laughing Only went for a refill for the ATG Laughing In fact, I think I will take my Art expression stamps and Marvy pens as they are fun to play with and not much to take with me Very Happy

Foggy here still at the moment, which is quite unusual for us. Hope everything is good at Amy's parents evening Karen - at our local school, they rang a bell after 5 mins and you just had to get up and leave - it was very regimented, kept everyone on time but if you had a problem with one particular subject not good for trying to sort things out Neutral

Hope everyone is feeling a little better today, don't let the boss walk over you Cally. Laughing

You can hardly see Hearing Aids now Andrea, don't suppose anyone will notice, but glad you are enjoying hearing properly again. Martin has had trouble recently with his hearing he has had some tests but there is nothing they can do about it. The problem is in a different part of the ear confused He is not totally deaf in it but it is annoying him Crying or Very sad

Post  cally Wed Jan 14, 2009 3:46 pm

well the boss has been and gone, with a bit of a flea in his ear, so to speak, I used to be a civil servant then we were taken over, and then last year where taken over again, because i work on a switchboard i always had a 15min break morn and after to get a drink and go to the loo, has everyone elsie can go when they want, now hes told me that switchboard opperators dont have breaks but typists do cant see the sense in that myself i am sure it should be the other way round, so i think a little call to the union will have to be made.

But he could see i cant walk right at the mo, and he was telling me what to do about gout, dosnt he think i have been trying to do every thing poss to stop it keep happening, does he think i like this pain, sorry to go on but he has made me so mad.

Right rant over am off to make some cards i think have had my last delivery from qvc more decoupage and has hubby did a night shift last night he is still in bed so i can hide them and he will never now that they came. ha ha.

Back later have a nice afternoon.

What a cheek Jan, your on sick leave and he comes round badgering you.
Your legally entitled to your breaks the same as any one else, you can't tell me that someone can't cover you whilst your on your break. I work in an office and we all chip in and help out when someone needs it I'm sure yours is the same.

I'm not surprised you feeling mad with him Evil or Very Mad

Enjoy your qvc kit that will take your mind of him Very Happy

I hope you feel better soon xx

Afternoon all. It's been freezing cold here all day. It took me 15 mins to scrape the car this morning.

Everyone is entitled to a tea/coffee break even if they only work 1/2 day no wonder you are mad. I would be fuming too.

HUGS to anyone that needs them.

See you all later

That's awful Jan, what are you supposed to do Rolling Eyes I know when I worked in the shop we didn't get to sit down or have a break all day, apart from half an hour for lunch. It was a strain on the legs. The boss would sit drinking his tea in his office and we just have to carry on serving customers and having a sip of tea whenever we could. Very often it was cold, but at least we could go to the loo at any time. He has a cheek coming to see you whilst you are off on sick leave Mad I don't blame you for going to the union.

Post  cubbie66 Wed Jan 14, 2009 11:28 pm

I would ask him Jan if he preferred that you just sat and wet yourself and give the cleaners something to do, I know when I worked for a company a few years back we had this discussion about breaks and it was at the time 5 hours without a break, so starting at say 9 in the morning and finishing at 5.30 you are entitled to your 30 minute lunchbreak but the company weren't obilgated to give you any further breaks than that but most if they care for their staff give you a 10-15 minute break mid morning and afternoon but as I say they aren't obliged to, but things may have changed. As Di has said though wouldn't someone cover for you to nip to the loo or maybe one of the secretaries could get you a drink while they are on their break, still doesn't seem fair to me, it should be a case of all treated the same. I am sure if you are working at a pc you have to take certain breaks, obviously don't know the set up at your work but thought that was a standard. I would ring the union but if your union is like the one and only one I have ever had dealings with then I don't hold out much hope of you getting much help from them Crying or Very sad

thanks girls for your support, my union is the pcs for civil servants , i work on my own in an office i dont see anyone apart from when they come to cover for my lunch, i could pass out and no one would know anything about it till the cleaners came, i hate it and cant wait for them to close the switchboard, my doctor said i shouldnt be working with my back, but there occupational health doctor said i was all right has my doctor sees me more than this guy does i think my doctor has more of an idea about my health problems, i also have rsi in my right wrist and another doctor i saw said i should be working only part time, has i have to wear a support on my wrist with a steel support in, so when i go to my docs next monday i am going to have a good talk with him, and just see who is right, i just seem to be moaning today dont i sorry girls
