The magpies have been out in force this morning, making a right din but luckily was already awake
Hopefully you are seeing some light at the end of the kitchen tunnel Juli
Still got my sore throat and feeling snuffly as well, hopefully it wont be a full blown cold and will pass by quickly
Anyone wondering why the card swap poll hasnt been added to the forum well all will be revealled tomorrow, and anyone who was in last month who doesnt want to be in Octobers can they let me know please

Morning Jan and everyone, oh hope you get over your sore throat and the snuffles, i know Lou's girls have had it so have mine the little one brought it back from school and that's it now does it's rounds of the house the other two have had it too. Me and hubby just a bit snuffly and sneezing like mad.Rest when you can and suck mint (the doctor has said throat sweet's dont work, you just need to stop throat from drying out) or another sweet Latisha has been having herbal tablet sweets to sooth her throat and stop her coughing.
Karen hope things are going wellthinking of you and Keith, sending hugs.
Lou, hope you feel better soon and get over the cold, Cameron our youngest has shared hisd with everyone to, they are nice klike that lol, hope your girls are over it to now get plenty of rest and keep your temprature down bless you thinking of you take care.

Got up which I thought was the middle of the night as was cold and got an extra blanket for the bed and snuggled back down. 15 mins later the alarm went off at 6, it wasn't the middle of the night

I see your all meeting up tomorrow at CC that will be lovely have a really nice time. Have a lovely big slice of cake for me next door, just hope they are not cooking the broccoli soup. It stinks the place out, last night Janet, Jan and I went we thought it was the drains

Lovely and sunny out but quite a cool breeze.
Keith and I are off into town as he has to go to the Dentist, we have had to cancel so many times as he has been in hospital... so hopefully this time he will make it!!
So thats more or less my day sorted... then back up to collect the children from school at 3.00

I have been without the internet all morning - there was a technical problem was all I got on the phone when I tried to phone them. Hopefully it's fixed now Got a card to do today and got to go to the Post Office to send one to my brother which I finished yesterday. He is going on holiday on Friday so hope it gets to him before then otherwise he will get it after his birthday. Serves him right for going off to Majorca for his birthday Glad you are feeling better this morning Lou, Ian and Ruth have both had this cold - sore throat. My throat is sore one day, fine the next, then sore again Think its when I breathe through my mouth at night when I get blocked up. Hope you get rid of yours soon Jan. Just been tidying up and been on the flab shaker, went for another bike ride last night and im a bit saddle sore ouch those bumps do do good. Its lovely and sunny here so got a bit of washing out. Lou you crack me up just read why you edited it the flab shaker is great and my internet was down too but still managed to get on the sites i just clicked on favourites im a virgin too

Internet seems to be ok now I think Lexie said she would be there about 11 but I will probably aim for 10.30 Jane

I have done a pile of washing this morning but the first lot got rained on Didnt see the forecast this morning but the sun was out when I put it out, next thing I knew it was pouring Well at least its all washed and the sun is out again now so hopefully it will dry, the rest is on the airer indoors and the tumble dryer

10 minutes after my husband left for work I trod on a tiny splinter of glass and its embedded in my foot. Can't seem to get at it with the tweezers but can feel it just below the skin surface. Tried soaking it in hot water and dettol but need to get it out soon as it really hurts to walk. I'm hopping around with a clean sock and antiseptic cream on it waiting for him to come home - in about 3 hours time.

Oh you poor thing Hope he can get it out for you, its difficult to get to the bottom of your foot on your own

Afternoon ladies. Was at scrapbooking class this morning, then took Roy some home made soup this afternoon. Have to make sure he's following the menu plans! So far he's made two Dundee cakes for Christmas. He could be left on his own but gets a bit bored so will take him out somewhere tomorrow. Got his appt today for the first fill of the band on 10 October. Will be interesting to see how it affects his appetite.

Glad your cold a bit better Lou. Jane hope your foot is sorted for tomorrow and that you all have a good natter.

I'm on Virgin too and it was really slow earlier this afternoon and Roy said he couldn't get at his e mail all morning but got the web OK. Seems sorted now though.

Glad Roy is feeling ok after his op. Has anyone heard how Pats husband is getting on now and Karen, how did Keith get on at the dentist

Eventually got the tiny shard out in one piece and put a plaster on - easier walking in high heels as the hole was on the outside edge of my foot just below my little toe. It hurt like hell when Clive tried to get it out with a fine pair of tweezers but I gritted my teeth and concentrated on It Takes Two (Strictly) while he did it.

Pain free and walking normally now thank goodness. Must remember to wear slippers (especially after smashing a mixing bowl a week ago). But after 40 years walking round the house in bare feet its a hard habit to break! Had hoovered and washed the floor several times but this tiny piece must have got lodged between the floor tiles

Most people on Virgin had a problem today, chap at work said one of their servers went down and it slowed everything down which meant not everybody being able to get on. Thankfully all up and running my the time I got home from work

Hope Keith got on ok at dentist today and wasn't in too much pain either sitting in the chair or if he had any dental work done

I know what you mean, despite having two pairs of slippers I hardly ever wear them.

Glad you got it out hun x Get them slippers on! I must admit I generally wear slippers now being diabetic it is bad when you do injure your foot but its even more important now I can't feel one of my feet! I could tread on a nail and not know it LOL

My feet are so tough after years of walking around in bare feet on concrete paths in the garden etc that I've even trodden on a drawing pin and hadn't realised - must get rid of that hard skin! I certainly noticed it this time as it was on a softer part.

No serious damage done and can't feel a thing now thankfully. How are you doing today?

I am ok thanks hun.... have walked a bit further today.... have done 3 school runs instead of 2.... trying to increase a bit each day...thats the plan anyway!

Still hating the fact that I can't walk more than a couple of hundred yards without feeling like collapsing but I am getting there..... being positive.

My bum is on a heat pad at the moment, so I know I have pushed it a bit.... but at least I can now walk.... 2 months ago, I was nearly bed bound!

Great news that you are now more mobile but don't overdo it hun! has the cold gone now?
