Morning!

Well its a bit dull here at the moment, but there is a bit of blue sky trying to peep through.
Amy is off to a concert at school tonight (she should have gone to it back in early February, but it was cancelled due to the snow!) so her and her friend are going to that. My mum is off to the Breast Clinic for her yearly check up.
Got to make an appointment for the Dr soon... my review is due - but they have changed the appointment system, so cant make one until 11.00 (9.00 before) hopefully there will be appointments left when I get back from nursery.
Have a good day

Morning all bit overcast here at the mo, but it feels warmer than yesterday i feel like i have a cold coming on, was sneezing a lot yesterday but thought it was because i was in the garden, but feel a bit rough to day.

Lou sorry your in pain you must be more carefull what your doing.

still havent had a play with my gooodies that i bought on sunday, went to do some of the material cards yesterday and theres one of the pictures that wont go on any of the boards that i bought, and dont know where to get any local.

Has anyone done any of those material cards ? if you have did you find them easy there was no instructions with them and am just having to guess how to do them.

Right had better get myself moving feel a bit stiff this morning,

Had a quick look at that easter lamb site and if you go down to the bottom they are all porn sites what is that all about.

take care back later.

Hi ladies Smile

Lou hun its time you let Ady swing from the chandeliers, your hips can't take it any more he he Smile Rest up today and fingers crossed that its not part of the RA Smile Hugs

Shame about your day out Jan, still being in the garden on a sunny day is good too Smile Hope you got your Dr appointment sorted out and that your mum's annual check-up went ok Smile Andrea hun you can't feel down the sun is out again Sad Go and stroke some lush card or paper and you'll feel a little brighter Smile

I've made the Pinflair type whereby you glue the fabric down onto a piece of board then attack to the card, is that what you meant Cally ? I've also glued fabric as a background to some cards when I wanted additional texture. What problem were you having or what part of the assembly were you unsure of ?

I've made a few cards which I'll post the photos of later and have my dermatology hosp appointment tonight, seems strange going to hospital at night time but its a great way of reducing waiting lists Smile

I can give you a link of an online shop that has red with black spots ribbon if you want Jan, but enter at your own risk as there are gorgeous ribbons on there Smile

Good afternoon ladies. What a beautiful day it's been again. Spent quite a while in garden clearing ivy and pruning. Got 4 large bags of waste now. Binmen will take two on Friday so just got rest to get rid of so I can fill them up again!
Had a trip to garden centre for some bird food and bought a top for myself! They have some quite nice clothes!

Getting some withdrawal symptoms as I've not done any crafting yet today.

All of it really Jen there was no instructions with it at all like how much do you cut to glue at the back ?

They look really nice when they were all stuck on the board at the back of the stall would love to see yours when you have time to put them on the forum. Thanks for that.

If it's the cards that pinflair do then you only need to cut about 1/2 " wider on all sides so that you just have enough to wrap around the back of the card. Smile

Here's the pinflair site. If your fabric is in the panel section it will tell you what size card you need Smile

  • Yes I usually cut the panel with approx half an inch extra all round to provide a neat edge;
    I use the Pinflair bookbinding glue as I love the way it spreads easily and dries without trace, spread on the support card and position the panel on leaving the half of an inch sticking out on each side;
    mitre the corners leaving one quarter of an inch in the corner;
    glue the edges and stretch the fabric over without pulling it too hard as it will move out of central position;
    once all sides have been stuck down and the corners folded over neatly allow to dry;
    once dry use as a card topper and assemble the card, I normally use Pinflair glue to secure it to the card as its quite heavy.

Wednesday morning Th_00004 Wednesday morning Th_JScomp-Decthese are ones with a fabric background

Wednesday morning Th_001edited Wednesday morning Th_002edited Wednesday morning Th_003edited these are the panels.

Not sure if I've helped at all, feel free to PM me if you want any further clarification Smile

If these are not ok here Jan just move them hun Smile

Yes Di I used the Pinflair book binding glue to stick them to thick card - I use any card that I can recycle e.g. the card part of one of those stiff envelopes, any card used in packaging I'm a cheapskate he he. I've even been known to cut shapes and build them up with 2 or 3 layers of packing card so that they are thick enough to triple emboss on he he. Just remember to keep the material taught so that it doesn't wrinkle Smile

I was told that the only card i could use was the ones from pinflair, so do you use any kind of card as long has its thick.?

I just use the card that looks like the chipboard cuts, the brown stuff that is often used for packing and the backs of those special envelopes. I've never bought the Pinflair card so have no idea how they compare sorry.
