Re: Snowy Sunday
Well the white stuff has arrived, not too much of it yet and keeping fingers crossed that was it but kind of doubt it
Re: Snowy Sunday
I know with my arthritis and mobility problems I should hate the stuff... but I cannnot suppress my inner child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Snowy Sunday
Evening all. We've got a light covering snow everywhere but I've just seen the forecast and they reckon we will have more overnight.
I collected Michaela from her residential weekend she had a fantastic time. She won the scavenger hunt, the word search and crossword comp and the scruffiest person comp. It's freezing cold so I think I'm going to snugle up with a hot cuppa and watch the ice skating on TV

Re: Snowy Sunday
Hi folks
Been out for most of the weekend and today around lunch time we had some flurries of snow up in Stevenage. About 3 hours later when i was home and having my late tea it started to snow again here in Portsmouth & has been on & off for the last few hours although it hasn't laid
I think we may get more tomorrow which will be rare cos it is rare that we get any.
Hope everyone has had a great weekend
Catch you later
Christine

Re: Snowy Sunday
Just got back from Roy's. It was snowing when I went up late afternoon - he only lives 2 miles away but he had more snow than here. His road was quite white when I left but mine is only just got a thin coating. I must say I quite like the snow - much better than rain. But I don't like driving in it!
Re: Snowy Sunday
Boy, that was scarey!!!!
Just driven home 6 miles in 6" of snow. Cars stuck on hills and no gritting done, even on the main roads. Took several back roads driving through powdery snow on steep hills and bends with lots of parked cards. Sure glad I'm home now.

Once again a woman after my own heart - I have never liked it even as a child.
Jane I think you are very brave venturing out today I wouldn't chance it, just stay in the warm. Glad you missed all of those "parked cards" only a crafter would make that mistake We have got quite a covering but our road was gritted on Friday, think most of it has gone before the snow came.
Re: Snowy Sunday

Re: Snowy Sunday
Well, there's at least one school bus driver who lives here who can't get his bus on the road!
