Tuesday morning

Morning all, hows is the snow now with you all, the little we had was gone when we walked up the road to our sons last night at about 7ish, but looking at the tv looks like it is still bad with some of you, seeing the pictures on the forum yesterday, they were lovely to look at, and ok if you didnt have to go anywhere, but........ the gritter has just gone up the road here, so at least if it iced over last night we can still stand up Nothing much on today, so will have a go at some cards, I do hope the day is good for you all, keep warm and take care Janetxx

I've finally got some snooow .... and I love it he he. I was hanging out of the living room window at 1am taking photos of the snow on the tree outside the window he he. If it stays I'm going for a short walk later to take some photos of snow laden branches and hopefully get some that might work on Chrissie cards My very own snoooow he he What surprised me is that Tash hates cold, and definitely hates the rain ... yet is out there frolicking about on the snow like a good one he he

Ours has almost gone, leaving very slippy paths. Fortunately I dont have to go out... no children today, so apart from nipping round the corner to my mums to put her bin away and having 5 mins with her... that is my day planned.... first got to whizz around with the hoover and then ahem... look for some dust!!

Morning ladies we still have snow but it turned to ice glad the schools are closed today has taking Greg to school would have been very scary .So i will not be having the usual chilling out at my parents today because of the kids .Hugs to those who need them and be very very careful if you have to go out its bad

Snowed a little bit more overnight but not much.... managed to skid about a metre on some ice on the way back from the school.... did not fall over but gave some old dear in her car driving past a right old giggle! I felt a right numpty! Didn't do my knee much good either!!

Still hoping for more snow, must be a glutton for punishment I suppose!!! Enjoy yours Jen and hope you get some cracking shots later on your walk x

Snowing heavily here as I type this!! Not forecast though! Might go out later to PO and for some milk. Roy has stayed at home today thank goodness but think he thinks I should go up there. NO chance I have no intention of moving the car unless I really have to!

Morning everyone. No more snow overnight much to the kids dismay as they are off school today. Going out to the local Co-Op in a few mins to see if I can get some milk and bread today as they had sold out yesterday.

Still snowing here and what we had yesterday hasnt changed at all. Cant get out of our drive as we are on a hill, probably get down but wouldnt get back. Sally was sent home at 2.30 from work as they were closing in case people couldnt get home. She had the plumber visiting her again to put a new thermostat in the boiler and about 6.00 she phoned to say it sounded like all the pipes were boiling - she was quite frightened. Martin talked her through it and the plumber had left the thermostat up full and the water temperature too. She turned them back to normal then she phoned later to say the heating had gone off so once again he talked her through it and she had to press the overheating cutout button to get it going. Didnt last long before it shut off again. Poor girl just doesnt know what to do. She wants to come and stay with us but cant get here and she has her rabbits to look after Her landlady (who is the same age as her) is on holiday skiing It shouldn't be Sally's problem but she has to come home again from work today to let the plumber in - think they have been every day for the past 5 days Every time causing another problem. Sorry for letting off steam Glad you have your snow Jen, wish I could give you ours too Martins school is closed but supposed to be opening again tomorrow (he only works Wed & Thurs) - if the snow keeps up he still wont be able to get there

Hope Sally can get the plumber to sort it out soon Jacky.

Thanks Lou, I'm just cross that Sally has to deal with it - her landlady should have someone like her parents who could sort out emergencies when she is away. They don't live that far away and are retired so they could deal with it. My BIL who is a corgi registered heating engineer offered to come over and sort it before she went away but she decided she might want the cylinder moved from the kitchen to upstairs so would wait until she comes home to decided what to do. In the meantime Sally freezes

Just been to PO and local tesco express. Bit dodgy underfoot! Got some cat litter but couldn't get a tray at PO so have improvised with a paint tray! Can't be doing with her using floor as a toilet! No milk in tesco's only long life stuff which was really annoying as I could have got proper milk at PO but wasn't walking back there again.

we've just about enough milk to last us till Thursday and I made bread rolls yesterday and there are still some left. Using up odds and ends in the fridge-weird lunch of salmon,stir fry (mainly cabbage) and some pasta in sauce with broccoli. Making a chickencurry tonight with enough for 2 days. Then we're down to 2 apples, 2 yogurts, 2 bananas, cous-cous, pasta, rice, soup,Ryvitas and cheese!

By the time I went for my walk at mid-day the blooming snow had melted balderdash !!!! I'm hoping that we get some more as predicted on Friday ... they said we should have about 12 ins, if its true I will be out at 8am before it has a chance to melt again he he

Ooohhh Sally is supposed to be going to Cardiff for the weekend - you will have to keep me posted with the weather Jen.

Hopefully we'll be in Singapore before the Friday/Saturday lot of snow!

Hope your neck of the woods doesn't get the snow that's predicted for tonight ... yup they were wrong with the Friday part it starts tonight apparently. I'll keep you informed of the snow here Jacky, but so far we have been surrounded by it but not had any worth talking about. Fingers crossed for you Jane - have a great holiday
