The weather here is a little chilly but no snow or rain Having first drink of the day, then its of to the sons, his ceiling came down last night, he had a small leak that was creeping along the beams the only thing you can say is at least he hadnt done that room up yet take care all of you and have a lovely day Lv. Morning Janet and all who follow. Another 3" of snow fell over night but the schools are still open so will be leaving in half an hour to get kids there on time.

Well it's a good job I checked the BBB Leicester site before I started walking the kids to school. It's now been closed so that's saved me a 20 minute walk each way.

Morning all. Not a nice day here today. The snow had moreorless gone off the road yesterday but back again today Martin got up at 7.00 this morning to check his school site and it said the school was open. He was tempted to change it to Closed as he has authority as he is the IT man. He got to school although he said it was much worse than going yesterday - kept slipping and sliding. When he arrived he received a text to say that they were going to open at 10.30 so he didnt have to rush in Watching the cars from the window going down our road this morning. Everyone is trying to use the middle of the road and it is chaos when a car is trying to go up the hill and gets stuck and another is slipping down the hill Another day indoors for me I think Hope Jane manages to get away ok. Haven't heard any news about Heathrow - just Luton so hopefully all will be ok. Sorry to hear about your son's ceiling Janet. That is what we were worried about Sally as she had water coming through her bedroom ceiling at one point Keep smiling everyone (I will try)

No snow here just rain, Mike spoke to his Mum a few minutes ago and the school she works at Frances in Leighton Buzzard is shut because of the snow as well, so she is having snow day

Almost had that happen Janet when we had the hurricane, the corner off the roof got blown off and the rain got right in and soaked my daughters ceilling, luckily I had hung her soft toys from the ceilling with fishing line and drawing pins and so as the plaster board expanded the pins fell out and it let the water drip through, but it was onto her bed and she came in crying thinking she had wet her bed (she was only 2 at the time) but soon discovered what it was, guy who repaired it said it was a good thing I had hung the toys up like I did or it would probably come down right on top of her, and people said I was mad for doing it, that'll learn em

What a kerfuffle this morning! Went onto Amy's school website to find that her school is closed today. Had a phone call from the kids mum to say that the Primary was closed... ok, so we settled down to watch a Disney film. In the meantime Amy had gone up to the Drs with my mum as she had a blood test... a few minutes later... Amy came rushing in saying that the Primary was open!! So I had to rush 2 reluctant children into getting their coats on and traipsing back up to school. So now I have to go up at 11,00 for Ben, and again at 1.00 when Hannah's class closes!

Anyway lovely and white out at the moment, stay safe and keep warm! Have a good day!

Well the forecast for rain last night was wrong About 3" of snow but it is raining now and very grey.

Hope jane got off OK. Not in the least bit jealous Roy keeps telling me what the weather is like in Malta (where I lived as a child)- can't imagine why as it only makes him want to get somewhere warm and sunny.

Got a chiropractor appt this afternoon. Not sure why I'm going as back is Ok but it's like an MOT! and she's going on maternity leave this month. Apparently I missed my appt last month. Whoops!

Good morning ladies snowing like mad here started at six this morning. School are open and kids went in but just had a text from the girls school they are hopeing to stay open but need my permission to send them home after 10.30 a bit strange. I will have to check back with Greg's. I have now picked Greg up and the girls are on their way home.

Afternoon ladies I'm guessing that Jane made it out ok or she would have been on here telling us about the calamity, so no news is good news. Me jealous of her holiday? ..... nah not at all ...... [fingers crossed behind my back ] .... ......

Our snow was melting this morning and is now icing over so the worse case scenario for drivers I might be more lucky with Sunday's forecasted snow

Hi all well we woke to more snow this morning we keep have little bits coming down, and here i am packing bags to go to cornwall tomorrow morn, i know we must be mad but we fancied a change of view so am hoping to go tomorrow will be taking craft stuff with me and knitting and computer so hopefully will be able to keep in touch, if you want to see where we stay the website is www.chyeneglos apartments and we have no 11 its a great view wish i could buy just that one apartment, well must get on back later Jane hope you have a great time and that your not delayed, oops your prob on your way now.

Well i finally plucked up the courage to get my cutting board out of the craft room and yippeee , i love the x cut cutting system its brill. I will be using it a lot

Glad you could do it Andrea. I like it too as I had a making memories one which is very similar which I liked but couldnt get any more shapes (have a diamond one) so the x-cut was ideal

Well I walked to the chiropractor's this afternoon - only 15 min walk up the main road, but the pavements were a disgrace. Treacherous wasn't the word! I would have been safer taking the car! I was so annoyed I have just emailed the local councillor. Don't suppose it will do any good though - but it made me feel better. I don't normally do anything like that!
