Post  mikki Mon Feb 09, 2009 11:49 am

Good morning Ladie,

I hope you are all well this cold wet morning Smile Did you have a good weekend?

As any one seen the new craft magazine yet? it's called Creative cardmaking, it's probabley the same as all the rest, it is supposed to be written by crafts for crafts, we shall see Smile

What have you all got planned for this week? I have a lot of cards to make for my mum and I'm going to get started on some Chrimbo gifts. I am going to make some card boxes which contain a selection of different cards and notelets, with an address book, small calendar, some 2nd class stamps and a nice pen. I will put in it some thank you cards, new home, get well soon, congratulations cards etc. This idea came to me last night when I couldn't sleep.

Breakie is calling, I have some fruit muffins to heat up.

Have a great day whatever your doing.

Drying hugz

xx

Good morning Janet,

Pleased to hear you are well. The weather here is very wet and cold, so I am sorting some stamps out that I want to use. I brought some of the dew drop shaped ink pads, they come in the most beautiful pastel shades, just right for spring time cards

Have a great day.

The snow is beginning to disappear but the pavements on the other side of the road are still bad as they dont get the sun and havent cleared at all. Now with the added rain What a Face At least the roads are clear Very Happy I am going to tidy up my room today before I start making any more cards and my ATCs. Lost my camera and it was just under a pile of paper Embarassed Looked for a couple of days too Shocked Dentist this afternoon (perhaps it will snow again and I wont be able to get out Rolling Eyes ) Badminton tonight Very Happy

Hope you all enjoy your day

ooohhh Andrea.... you have caused quite a stir today!!!

Not long been back from the card making class I went to this morning. It was held at our local library... there was myself and 2 other ladies, both worked in the library!!! But we had a good time, made a couple of Iris fold cards and we enjoyed ourselves. Hoping to do it again come the better weather.

We had more snow last night, it doesnt feel too cold out, but the fog has now come down and its thick fog. Forecasters do say more snow is expected. I have ordered a pair of shoe thingamajigs to put on the soles to stop you from slipping... hoping they come for me to try them out before the snow and ice goes!

Have a good day, take care

Karen, are the shoe things from QVC. I have had them for the past 3/4 years and they are brilliant in the snow. Very Happy I used them the other day to walk down to get the paper and post a card and a man came from the other direction and said how come I was walking so quickly on the ice when he was walking on the road and going home to change his shoes. I showed him them and he was amazed at how well they worked. You can just walk normally when you are wearing them Very Happy Bit tricky on the places where the snow had disappeared though. Have had trouble finding them recently Jan - we fancied them a few weeks ago and couldn't get them. Mum said they had changed - they are smaller with more gravy. Managed to get some on Saturday but haven't had them yet. Think that will be for Tuesday nights dinner Very Happy We used to have a Faggot & Pea shop just up the road from us when I was a child. We went with Mum and a large jug with a tea towel and the man would fill up the jug and Mum would cover it with the teatowel to bring it back home Laughing Laughing Ohhh the memories. Brings tears to my eyes the simple way we lived back then Laughing Laughing

Found them in Farmfoods Jacky, never been in there before and thought we would have a look and yes your mum is right they are smaller and have extra gravy, but I like the gravy so that was fine by me, didnt have to make extra but they did at least taste just the same Laughing

Jacky... yes they are!!! I ordered them from QVC on Saturday - had a look on line at them and like you have said they have got good comments. I walk up and down to school 3 times a day, and sometimes this weather I feel like 'Todd Carty'!!! And yet I look at some people and they dont seem to slip around at all. Anyway... will give them a try - thanks for your comments as well, appreciate them. Perhaps next year I too can audition for Dancing on Ice!
