Re: Wet Monday
Doh forgot to mention earlier, I love faggots and peas and the childhood memories that resurface when I eat them, such an innocent time
I hope the docs sort out Jayne's illness as it must be driving her insane now being off work and so ill for so many weeks, while still trying to see to the little un. Please send her my hugs and tell her to eat things to boost her immune system if she can

Re: Wet Monday
Karen, you are obviously nice and light and skiddy hun, the rest must be anchored to the ground by their weight!!!

Ok I have a very strange request ... does anyone know of a shop that sells a ribbler/crimper wider than 2.5 ins please ? Poor Pete has been driving all over the place the last few days trying to get me one, he is such a love Oh and cheaper than the Hobbycraft £15 one if possible he he
Have PM'd ya hun x
Re: Wet Monday
Thanks ladies for the replies re the crimper/ribbler I was looking for one roughly 5-6 ins wide so that I could use it on the larger envelopes. The ones in Hobbycraft were the right width but £15 seems a bit much or perhaps I'm just being frugal he he

Re: Wet Monday
Evening everyone. I've just got in from the Doctors. When I went to collect the kids from school I strated having trouble breathing on the way home so I phoned and had to go down at the end of surgery. The Dr says I have a chest infection so has given me 2 lots of tablets and another inhaler to take for the next week. I hope I feel better soon as I hate struggling for breath. Going to sit on the sofa and just watch TV tonight

Re: Wet Monday
Hi everyone
Hope you are all ok over the past week of the blizzards we have had. I have been lucky here in Portsmouth, we had thick snow last Mon & Tues but since then either frost, sleet or now rain for the past 24 hours .
I know that some of the UK have more snow to come so if anyone who has it in their area take care.
I haven't been on much I don't know where the time has gone each day is flying by for me. OK so I cut my hours down at work through health probs but it seems like as soon as I start it is time for a quick lunch and then before I know it, it's time to go home.
Have been trying to do some cards but get home so tired and then on Saturday unfortunately I had a fall at home - only slipped on the stairs . If the front door wasn't open & my foot catching under the door I am sure I would of gone through it . I am ok now just shaken up on Sat & very stiff y'day although my back is playing up really bad, must of jarred it when slid down the stairs so I know that will take a while to clear up.
I went to both Exeter & Stevenage craft fayre in the past fortnight or so (glad it wasn't the weekend just gone) and had a good time, although I was spoilt from the NEC, and could of done both trips in a day - although I did meet up with a friend in Exeter for a meal and saw a show at the theatre in Stevenage so I did well.
My next craft show is in Farnborough maybe on the Sat - 22nd Feb - anyone else planning to go, if you are please let me know would love to meet up .
Catch up with you later, will try & get back on during the week, if not at the weekend.
Bye for now
Christine x

Re: Wet Monday
Hope the tablets get you sorted out soon Frances and your not feeling to sore Christine, I slipped on the stairs some years ago and knocked myself out and blacked out a couple of times after it should have gone to the hospital but I didn't but I am ok but did get a few days off work
Myself, Janet and Di are going to Farnborough on the Saturday and Jacky said she is going that day as well so will be quite a few of us there

I won't ask why you're rolling about on the floor! Have fun anyway.
Clive's off to the test match so I have a day to myself and peace and quiet for a few hours till the girls get back from school/kindie. Off to a craft class tomorrow so will give you all the news about that when I get back.
PS No sunbathing yet, still getting acclimatised and its rather cloudy today but getting up to about 24 later - bit like a good British summer day! The nearest fires are about 400 miles away. The dreadful thing is they think they were caused deliberately - the police are moving in on these 'murderers' and the death toll expected to be above 200. Can't imagine the devastation.
How are the poorlies getting on - sorry to hear about your back Christine and that Jayne is still not better. Hope you manage to meet up at Make-it - its fun putting names to faces. Do tell me all about it.
