Good morning Janet and all who follow
Lovely start to the day here and no thanks on the seagull front have enough of them round here, dont think they know when it is bedtime
Had a lovely weekend, we went down to Greatstone for a few hours yesterday and sat and watched the kite surfers after popping into Tesco for a little picnic
Work today so better get in the shower soon or I will still be at here in an hour and then rushing round like a maniac
Take care all and have a great day whatever your doing

Re: Monday morning
Good morning Janet, Jan, Andrea and all those that follow.
Don't talk to me about seagulls, if they're not ripping open my bin bags when I put them out for the weekly collection they are nesting in between my chimneys and start squawking from 3 onwards You would have thought after 34 years living by the sea, opps 36 that I would have got use to them by now, but we just seem overrun with them now and the other birds don't stand a chance. Blimey it's not even 8 yet and having a bit of a rant
Had such a busy weekend had to make some rush cards Sat morning for a Birthday party in the evening, been to Camber Sands for a wander, done the shopping - grocery and clothes. Went to a friends barbie, Jakey had a great time as they had a trampoline and there was lots of kiddies there so he didn't get bored. Came home and fell into bed at 9 shattered
Hope everyone else had a good weekend, now the start of another working week and waiting for the next weekend to come round

Re: Monday morning
Good morning everyone, It's lovely here too, I could get used to this (but don't suppose I shall get the opportunity). Off to the gym soon, hope they have the air con on, it's too warm otherwise and makes it hard work trying. Any excuse. Back to work for me today, after longer than I can remember. It's a bit daunting even though it's for family, perhaps it's worse because of that actually. I keep saying "I hope I don't let you down" because they've only just initiated me into the work and are off on holiday on Wednesday.
Watch this space.
Woke up this morning knowing I'd entered incorrect lyrics in the song lyrics game. I just knew although I wasn't aware I'd even been thinking about it, I checked it to see, and I had! How odd, not the doing it wrong bit, unfortunately that's not too unusual, but just knowing it out of the blue.
Have fun.

SPRING CLEANING
Piano gone so scrubbing the floor and moving furniture around. Should have seen my husband and I trying to get it over the door step. Luckily we got help from the strong lads next door (not the noisy ones) Cleared out about 100 CDs - classical, old pop and compilations. Just kept a few favourites and the rest have to go.
The bedroom stuff is going to a good home on Wednesday so its more trips to the charity shop then the decorating can begin!
Not looking forward to packing up all my craft and changing rooms -could take a while!
Better get all the swaps and birthday cards done first as I probably won't be able to find a thing once its tidied!

Good Afternoon ladies
Back to work today after a week in Cornwall, so I can relate to the comments regarding Seagulls, my hubby was looking for a gun most mornings when they were dancing on the chalet roof.
Glad to hear that your stay in Hospital has done you some good Lou and your stash of cards were brilliant. Your Postman must of thought you were having one long birthday!
Hope everyone else is feeling well, it takes a while to catch up with what has been going on, on here and at work.

Re: Monday morning
Evening everyone.
You can keep the gulls, we have enough of them here and we're nowhere near the sea
I've spent most of the day at the hospital with Kayleigh as more of her cast unravelled over the weekend and I wasn't going to tape it up any more. Also the base of the foot was all ridged and as she walked on it she could feel the ridges in her foot The guy in the plaster room tried to blame Kayleigh for mistreating her cast but I stood up for her and said she hadn't been walking on it and his reply was " Well look at the state of her toes they're filthy". She got that from resting her toes on the ground when she's stood still, I don't think he believed me though. She eventually got a new cast put on (purple again).
Have a good evening

Re: Monday morning
Flippin cheek of the man ..... doesn't he realise it is difficult to wash the toes and foot when encased in a cast, and kids are kids, you can't expect em to stay spotless Do ya think he was annoyed having to work on a nice hot sunny day !!!
Re: Monday morning
how awful for poor Kayleigh, if they had put it on right in the first place you wouldnt have had to go back
Re: Monday morning
I know. Hopefully we wont have to go back now until 18th June for her next appointment

Re: Monday morning
Hi Girls i am back after what seems a very long time, what a holiday we had the first week was really nice with the weather and inlaws everything going well then on friday the 22nd may our 38th anniversary we went out to mousehole and sennen cove and coming back up the hill the gears started jumping out of gear derek thought it was because he had his sandels on and not used to driving in them, but coming into penzance it happened again and the engine was racing we managed to get into carbis bay and called the rac out he said the selecter had broken on the gear stick, he towed us to a garage in camborne and the garage waited for us then he turned round and said sorry but i am closed now till tues, we had to hope that we could stay in the apartment till the car was ready luckily we could, and we got the car back on thursday but we were really worried all the weekend how much it was going to cost has it was nearly the end of our hols but we managed, and we came back on friday.

Re: Monday morning
Glad you mmanaged to get home ok Janette We had trouble with our gears the last time we stayed in Cornwall - worse holiday we ever had for many reasons. Then Ian & Ruth took our camper there last year and that broke down too and they had to have relay home. We are avoiding Cornwall
