Monday and more snow

Snow had almost gone yesterday but woke up to another layer of the white stuff this morning
Just 2 more days of work. if I can get in, after making works Christmas cards I better be able to
Havent heard a bus this morning yet which isnt a good sign

Must get to the post office today, still need to send some bits off

Afternoon all, sorry I have been AWOL the whole weekend but been mega busy!

We had friends round for a nice Christmassy dinner yesterday and as if by a miracle I woke yesterday morning with hardly any aches..... it was fab..... managed to get all the housework done and cook the dinner perfectly.... it was only about 9pm last night the pain came on and then of course it came with a vengeance! I am so glad I don't have to do anything today, I can hardly move! LOL..... but at least yesterday was perfect.... I have this amazing recipe for apple crumble and it went down a storm.... my mate who lives on salad and jacket spuds and eats like a bird.... stuffed this starter of prawn salad, massive roast dinner, and two helpings of apple crumble, custard and ice cream!!!!

I was gob smacked! She sent me a text last night asking when she could come again! LOL So I gather the food was up to standard. I was a bit nervous as she always used to do business dinners for her ex-hubbies overseas business contacts and I wasn't sure what standard she was expecting and I am a home cook, taught by my mum! Turns out I didn't have to worry.

Good afternoon all, pouring with rain here. Been having a good tidy up this morning, Sally is staying over at Christmas so thought we had better take the junk out of her room Cleared up my craft room so now my Dolls house can come up here - havent done any more to it and will have to wait until after Christmas I think now. At the moment it is on the table at the end of the kitchen so thought I should get it out of there before the kids do the Christmas dinner to give them more room What a lot of dust and cobwebs I have found this morning but everything is looking a lot better now Off to have some lunch now, badminton tonight and then our Christmas drink after

Lou my mum cooks the veg and meat to an inch of its life, perfect if you have no teeth
I think thats why I don't each veg, no come to think of it not really my Dad spoilt me as a little girl and he either ate my veg or the dog did

No badminton for us tonight and no drinks after either The snow has stopped the cars on our road. We have a team of men - one with a spade and the others pushing to help the people to the top of the hill. What great neighbours we have. Just worried about Ruth getting home on the train now. She can't leave early - Ian is on his way home and said if necessary he will go and collect her from Guildford in the car as long as he stays on the main roads he will hopefully get there. Apparently there was trouble with the trains yesterday due to conditions and they are far worse today Sally is going to leave her car at work as it is safer there than in her road where it could be hit by sliding cars, she is near enough to walk home. She only took the car today as she had to got shopping at lunchtime. Stay safe everyone

I've still got snoow, still got snoow, and they promised more he he. I went and had my hair trimmed ready for Christmas this morning, my daughter and the girls are coming down Wednesday then I will be all ready for Christmas he he. We're heading into town tomorrow to get last minute bits and bobs for the cruise, I can't wait he he

We've got slush but it's still causing problems here on the roads. Can't believe that the roads round here havent been gritted We used to have a bin of salt half way up our hill and one at the top and one by the school but they were all taken away a few years ago. They do usually come and grit our road but they havent this year and people are having such trouble. They can't go round the other way either as that is an even steeper hill. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
