Not much planned today, suppose I better check the bank balance and check if the kids need anything else for their holidays! Better start making lists..... in a bit of a quandry as the chemists have stopped stocking the liquid travel sickness remedy I use for Emily on long trips.... it is also used as a child sedative (Phenergan) and I think they think we are all in the habit of drugging our children. Its the only travel sickness thing I have found that works for her...it has to be liquid coz she is only 8 and don't do tablets yet...any ideas ladies???

Any help appreciated.....

Try seabands , they work on pressure points and better than drugs , you buy them a boots. Also useful for morning sickness when pregnant ! I swear buy them .....

Good Morning here , beautiful morning here in sunny Sussex ! Got one load of washing on the line and the next doing its thing in the washer , just going to push he hoover round and thats me done ... migh even turn it on ! Loads of other jobs I could do but hey can wait...

Morning... lovely sunshine here today - again! and its quite warm out.
Have cleaned the bathroom and downstairs loo, and now having 5 minutes before the ironing is tackled!!!.
Had a good afternoon yesterday, managed to finish my wedding card - will pop it on later.

Warm and sunny here. Just back from the hospital (pre-op checks) and have had blood taken, ECG, MRSA swabs etc. Just off to put the washing on then off to Asda for the weekly shop.

How daft is that......

I got the info regarding the Travel sickness remedy from Superdrug in town, also went into Boots and they said the same....

So I phoned docs and was told that if I wanted it on prescription they would have to see Emily first, so I said I would pop to local chemist a few doors up from my house and ask what the pharmacist recommended.... and he says they still do Phenergan, so I have a bottle sitting here now ready for the holiday

Maybe Superdrug and Boots thought I looked the kinda girl that would drug her kids! so they palmed me off with a 'we don't do it anymore' story!

Least thats one problem solved!

We tried the wrist bands and the chewable pastilles Lexie, they did diddly squat for Emily unfortunately!

Mum went down to Cornwall last year and unfortunately she doesnt travel well... she got travel sickness tablets and the bands.. but she was still very sick both ways. I am lucky enough not to suffer with travel sickness.

Glad you got that one sored Lou ! Luckily we don't suffer with that , my mate can't travel in a car for more than a couple mins in a car unless she is driving , or sitting in he front and hats only on short trips! still when we go out she always drives ! turned very black and cold here , happaned the very second I got my chair and cuppa coffee organised in the garden better not flippin rain !

Just so you know the goss girls.... a rather large forum for crafters has been forced to announce it is shutting down at the end of the month, I have sent out some emails to friends from there telling them about the Cow and we may well be seeing a few new faces!

Its a shame really as it has been going strong for a number of years and I made some really great crafting friends over there till I fell foul of one particular person and decided to leave. Thats when Jan invited me over here and I must say I have never looked back xxxx

I can see you have been very busy Lou and hope your crafting friends enjoy it on here - lovely to have new members Hope they are all as mad as us The walk this morning was very warm. The man leading it said there was one hill which was right at the beginning of the walk - it was a mountain. There was also about 6 other hills and I lost count of the number of stiles, one poor chap had trouble getting over but he is 80 and not very tall. The walk usually takes 2 hours - this one took two and a half hours, was at a much faster pace, and didnt stop for a break as long as usual. I am shattered and Martin is asleep I have got a blister on the ball of my foot too which was quite painful for the last half hour Other than that it was good and the meal in the pub was excellent

Glad you got Emily sorted Lou and hope you didnt get the rain Lexie, it went very black at the end of our walk but nothing became of it.

Its nice again now , but for most of the day very black and horrible ! Was the guy who led you today from East Grinstead ? as who you have described sounds exactly like one of our neighbours and he leads walks ! Glad it stayed dry for you . Lots of ne pople on he forum which is great , Lou has been busy recruiting ! Have a good evening everyone

No, he is local. We all take it in turns to lead the walk but this chap is very tall and active along with 2 others who were walking with him and everyone else spread out behind

Love the horses Jacky Sounds like you had a heck of a walk ... are you going to be sore tomorrow? I think he would have killed me he he.

Latest news on my health is that I am now being treated for a diverticulitis attack. If the treatment doesn't show a marked difference in 3-4 days then its back to the drawing board instead,. But I am booked in for more examinations/tests on Mon and Tues next week. Oh joy.
