Oh dear Lexie hope you are better for next week, Morning ladies very cold indeed this morning we had snow yesterday but it did not stick thank goodness. It will today if it does. Big hugs to any poorlies and wrap up warm.
Re: Freezing Friday !
Good morning Lexie, Andrea and all who follow You poor thing Lexie, hope you get rid of it soon. I woke up with a sore throat this morning but seems to have gone again now, think it must have been the cold air I was breathing in. Had to put the electric fire on in the lounge this morning as it just wasn't warming up and if I am cold I can't get on and do anything, just want to sit huddled up. I know if I did get on with things I would warm up, just need to get going though, that's not easy first thing in the morning. We had rain and snow yesterday, and the snow is still on the lawns -4 outside still this morning, and Martin has gone to golf I have got my hairdresser coming this afternoon, finished her card last night and the other one I had to do too.
Have a good day all, hugs to all the poorlies out there and anyone else who needs one. Take care if you have snow and ice.

Morning..
Brrrr... its a frosty freezin Friday
We had some snow yesterday, and although it didnt settle, the paths and roads have frozen and really dangerous.
Been down to Mum's and sorted her out, the Carer turned up whilst I was doing her breakfast and stood and watched me. There wasnt anything for her to do, so she went on her way - had it been one of the 'older' carers... they would have looked for something to do.
Not sure what to do today - think the cakes could be marzipanned!
Lexie... feel better soon xx
Jacky hope your throat doesnt develop into anythinng nasty
Off now to check the farm out
Enjoy your day and take care if you are going out xx

You too hun? Sorry to hear that. Hopfully we'll both be over it before Christmas. The sunshine should help to get rid of the last of it too.
Had it since Tuesday - constant coughing (worse at night and have to sleep sitting up) nose dripping but can't blow as I get terrible nosebleeds and my throat is so sore. Haven't set foot outside for ages - its nice and cozy here - snowing hard at the moment and the path is disappearing fast.
5 mins later ..... the sky is black and it's blizzard conditions with wind blowing snow in all directions.
Re: Freezing Friday !
Afternoon ladies. Sorry to hear about all the coughs and colds - hope you all get over them soon.Went out early this morning - well early for me (9.00!)- to collect prescription for Roy- have to go early so I can get in car park. Had a job de-icing the car - it was frozen snow and scraper didn't work or the de-icer stuff so had to wait till the engine warmed up enough to get rid of it. Had a heavy snow shower a little while ago which was settling then it was bright sunshine now it is dark again so think we might be in for some more of the white stuff.
Re: Freezing Friday !
Had to abandan my scrapping class this morning as within mins the road went white and its settled keeps stopping and starting , flippin pain if you ask me ! My cough is my asthma which is also a pain in the bum !Hope you feel better soon ! Hugs to all xx

Re: Freezing Friday !
You really have got it rough Jane , are you taking Vit C ? Iam also taking Zinc which is suppose to really help against colds etc .....
Re: Freezing Friday !
Yes, and Echinacia too. Haven't had a cough or cold like this for nearly 3 years so I'm making up for lost time!
Re: Freezing Friday !
Gosh, you two sound just like Sally, she has got a rotten cold come on just as she has finished work until after Christmas. She came in tonight as she was having trouble getting home with the cars all jammed up - when she left here she text when she got home and said the roads in Hampshire were fine, just b****y Surrey Heath not getting on with doing the main roads. Ian & Ruth had the same problem getting back from Bracknell, fine all the way until they entered Surrey
Re: Freezing Friday !
We are West Sussex but within acouple miles surrounded by Surrey and I agree there roads are Terrible the road around Felbridge full of huge pot holes and in a terrible state , we think its because we'rw on the boarders but its heartening to know its alover Surrey !
Re: Freezing Friday !
Ian & Ruth got to the wedding much to the relief of the bride, who was in a state of panic as the wedding cars hadn't turned up. They did arrive and got her to the venue on time too but nearly went into a ditch on the way there. The bridesmaids were in a 4 x 4 vehicle which went on ahead, would have been more sensible knowing the road conditions if it had stayed behind in case there was a problem. Roads were fine for them once they were out of Surrey again Apparently when Ian & Ruth were driving out, a large car in front of them did a couple of spins going out of the drive (A big hotel in the middle of nowhere) so Ian was a bit worried and as he approached the gates a new Bentley came in and did the same thing. Then a queue started to form and they all got out and helped push the Bentley got it going then got back in their cars. Ian's little car didn't have a problem but the Bentley was still having problems going up the drive but they left him to it
