Christmas songs ...
.... now I know you all are getting in the spirit of Christmas, oh yes you are don't pretend to me he he. I found this little gem today whilst flitting from site to site. Its a Christmas song which I thought I should share with you ....
Grandma got run over by a reindeer.
Walking home from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and grandpa we believe.
She'd been drinking too much eggnog,
and we begged her not to go.
But she forgot her medication, and she
staggered out the door into the snow.
When we found her Christmas morning,
at the scene of the attack,
she had hoof-prints on her forehead,
and incriminating Claus marks on her back.
Now we're all so proud of grandpa,
He's been taking this so well.
See him in there watching football,
drinking root beer and
playing cards with Cousin Mel.
It's not Christmas without Grandma,
All the family's dressed in black
and we just can't help but wonder:
Should we open up her gifts,
or send them back?
Send them back!!
Now the goose is on the table
and the pudding made of fig
and the blue and silver candles
that would just have matched
the hair on grandma's wig.
I've warned all my
friends and neighbors
better watch out for yourselves,
they should never give a license
to a man who drives a sleigh
and plays with elves.

Bit chancey singing that in church
Though I must admit I would end my self laughing at it

Re: Christmas songs ...
Love it... I have it on a CD of naughty xmas songs... some of them are a bit more 'dicey' than that I can tell you only for adults I think!
Can't remember the tune but its a quick one.
I remember singing in a cathedral once when I was in the school choir... the song our choir master chose was a bit iffy too...
it went...
Sandbags, windbags, camels with a hump
Fat girls, thin girls, some a little plump
Slave girls sold here 50 bob a lump
At the old bazaar in Cairo
Lallallalalal
Funnily enough, two weeks after our visit to the cathedral they put up scaffolding and we were told there was some concern over the stability of the spire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dunno what they were trying to say!!!

Didn't see her Jan, but then she may have matured a bit from the photo I was used to!!!
Re: Christmas songs ...
And what is your singing like then Jan? Do you twinnies share the tone deafness and delusion???
Re: Christmas songs ...
Oh Lou that made me have a Tena moment
The tears are rolling down my legs
I can just imagine some of the old biddies faces
There you go Craftyteacher (can I ask your name please?) you could bring the church down
And have Jayne and Jen in the choir as an encore
The dodgy duo
