Oh dear, hope it doesn't last long Jan Good morning all, cold here but dry at the moment, the rain washed all the snow away overnight Have to wait in today as the Virgin engineer is supposed to be coming to sort out our phone which we havent had for a week Got the washing to do today and going to have to tidy all my things out of the lounge and get sorted out again Hope everyone else has an enjoyable day

I really was'nt looking forward to going out last night , but had a lovely evening and a lovely Thai meal and vary enjoyable company and it was paid for by Sandy so that was a threat PLUS a lovely gift voucher to spend ....... !!!!!! Had another fall yesterday afternoon, left knee this time gave, so thats a bit worrying but its not too painful this morning. Had brekkie nice and early so had my painkillers yonks ago. It snowed a tiny sprinkle yesterday afternoon..... then it turned to rain so Emily did not go and do her part in the school play, I wasn't going to chance taking her out in the cold and wet again!

She slept well again last night but is still a bit chesty when she coughs. They have an exciting day at school today as the whole school is going to watch the Butlins panto, like they do every year, its the first time Emily's been, just hope they are careful coz it's very slippy in patches out there!

They also have their Christmas Parties this afternoon so have taken in party clothes to change into after lunch and some nibbles each! Georgia then has dance this afternoon so wont be picking her up till 4.30!

Ady got a nice surprise in his pay packet this week.... £200 extra! The big boss man has decided that they were underpaid for the bank holidays they worked during the year and has given them a bit of a bonus... so that helps!

Not long till Shell and Nige come back down too..... probably a couple of days after Christmas and I am sooo excited!!!!!! This christmas is just going to be perfect, I can feel it!!!

Oh I love the snow.... but I don't want it on Sunday as one of the
ladies coming to lunch wont drive in it.... so that means she wont
come! I am looking forward to wining and dining my mates.... bit

Well the phone is sorted so rang my mum to tell her and she says the funeral is on the 30th Dec so wont be going to Cheltenham until after Christmas after all. Hope the weather improves as I hate travelling at this time of year Lou, you poor soul, as Andrea says we will have to wrap you in bubble wrap, should be nice and warm too Wish I had little ones to go and see all these things, miss not working in pre-school when I hear about all the nativities and carol services We are going to the U3a carol service tomorrow night, unless we are snowed in Sounds really good fun going to Butlins with the school. When I was little Dad worked in a big factory and they laid on coaches to pick up all the children for a party and Santa came to give us a present each. We all had tags round our necks so that they knew which coach to put us on to go home Those were the days

What's happened to the picture Lou This is our snow yesterday while it was falling, we have just had a minor blizzard but stopped as quickly as it started. I have added my Christmas cards to my Gallery

Lou stop pulling yourself down I am sure your mates will love he meal you cook ...I also have a houseful on sunday , and am doing a roast , Sainsburys had there joints at half price , so I got a big joint of beef and a leg of lamb , and all the trimmings , Xmas pud , trifle and Sheila is bringing Eton mess which is scrummy !Sainsburys was horrendous , surely people ar'nt doing there food shop yet ??? But it looked like it ... Iam going to Tescos on Tuesday night , Iam sure whatever time you go it will be busy .

Had a mini blizzard but most of it had gone an hour later. A huge amount promised overnight and tomorrow.

The freezer's defrosted and Christmas turkey cooking! Yes - you did read it right!

After finding out last year my freezer was too small to hold a 16lb bird (or even an 8lb one) I decided to cook the one I'd bought, cool it, carve it and box it up to use Christmas Day. It worked so well that I'm doing the same this year - even froze the reduced giblet stock for the gravy and made for soup with the bones.

On Christmas Day all I need to do is reheat it with the roast potatoes, veggies and trimmings - no hastle and an extra couple of hours in bed too!

Still hobbling and swollen but I can get up the stairs a bit easier. Seeing the doc on Saturday morning to try to get scans done in case the cartiledge is damaged. I may need keyhole surgery at some stage but they won't be able to do anything before the Oz trip. Still, as long as I'm not in too much pain and can get in and out of the pool I'll be happy

Just a quick one to say hi and thank you Jacky for passing the message on. No snow here unfortunately as I love it and is brilliant for SADS sufferers as its lovely and bright Still feeling sorry for myself but hope to be up and running next week for Christmas and then our New Year cruise

Got to tell you the latest about the pratt Micky is working for , he has given Micky Cheques , but he can't bank 'em yet ! Micky is furious...One he's allowed to put into bank terrible ah ? Good job we are not6 desperate for he money .But the good thing is Micky is'nt working tomorrow or monday , we have to go to Gatwick Park, as I have to have some investigations done and a pre op assesment done , so thats monday early afternoon .Have'nt had any white stuff here , hope it says away .speak soon hugs to all.Lovely to see you back on Jen .Where you going for your cruise ??? xx
