Sizzling Saturday.
Nice cool morning here - about 22. Bit stiff buit got the ice pack on my knee for a while and moving a bit better now. Lazy day (again) off to the beach later hopefully then an evening cricket match at the Oval.
Hope you all have a restful sleep and will speak to you when you get up. Hope the news of Jayne is better today and that the rest of the poorlies are improving. It's 10.00am and time for my swim. byeeeeeeeeeeee

Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Good morning all,
Made my first pit stop and checked on Jaynes progress, lets hope she continues to improve today and doesn't give Jan no more scares! Or us! Big hugs to their whole family... even the ex hubby as he had a bit of a fright yesterday!
Not feeling too bad this morning..... just got pain down in the lower leg but as the doc said it may well be that that is being causeed by arthritis starting up in the right ankle now.... so maybe the epidural has done alot more than I am giving it credit for! Am hoping so, really wanting to be positive. I certainly feel brighter today and am walking alot better, as have put a tubigrip on the ankle.
Got a lovely get well card from Lexie yesterday so wanted to say a big thank you for that hun, it was lovely of you. The doctor was not dishy, he had a pot belly and a double chin, but he was lovely and apologised for hurting me so what more could I ask. My actual consultant Sanjay is handsome, when he looks into ya eyes you aint looking nowhere else!
Sounds like you are having a fab time Jane and rightly so. Have a nice swim babes x
So nice to see Sadie back on the forum, we missed you, when Jackie mentioned you in her text yesterday I couldn't place youy at first but then I remembered you! My brain was fuzzled by drugs (prescription ones) at the time! I am sure Jan and Jayne will appreciate you being here x
Nice to see you on Jen, but at what time of the morning???? Don't ya sleep? LOL
Hugs to anyone who is feeling under par.
Have a good day all x

Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Good morning all, really overslept this morning, didn't wake up until 9.00 I haven't done that in years but there is nothing I needed to get up for. Think it was the cleaning of the craft room that tired me out. Couldnt put my head round card making and resisted putting the computer on until my sister phoned to say did I want her to harvest my cabbages on Farm Town For those who don't know, it is a farm game on facebook Glad things are a bit easier for you Lou Glad you are enjoying Oz Jane
Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Morning Jacky.... glad you had a nice lay in!
Now girls......I am gonna show ya something interesting....
but that may not be to everyones taste.,...
For Christmas Shell bought Emily an unusual pressie....
TRIOPS.....
Have any of you heard of them.... ?? I certainly hadn't!
They are actual prehistoric creatures, they survived the centuries
during interrupted states of suspended animation or 'diapause'.
This state enables the triops to survive seasonal drought.
They come in egg form and you have a little fish tank... the eggs
hatch within 24 to 48 hours and the eggs are like pin heads but then
they grow at an amazing rate.....
We don't have many photos from early on.... we put the eggs in
water just after boxing day and they are now nearly 2 inches long
from front to tail!
They are creepy looking, with the appearance of having 3 eyes....
they have red spindly legs and eat their food floating upside down!
They also love grated carrot, flakes of fish and shrimp!
Gonna add some piccies now..... we put 6 eggs in and had 3 hatch..
they also shed their skins too! They are really quite fascinating...
The first picture is 2 triops fighting over a picec of cod!

They are great Lou Sally had some when she was little and loved them Really good photos you managed to get
Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Good afternoon ladies Triops never heard of them but they look nice done the food shop and visited my parents , didnt think id manage to go round the isles at Asda has i well over on my ankle last night from school but with good strapping and strong boots i manage to do it. Was annoyed yesterday with a cd i was waiting for which took three weeks to come what with the christmas rush ( January that is ) from Debbie moore it was a blank nothing on it, so rang up and another will be put in the post today . I bet i'll not get it till late next week at least im happy with my Martha srewart punches from the crafty cow they are brill. Big hugs to the poorlies especially Jayne, off for some dinner now im starving.
Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Perhaps I could get some blank cds and sell them on ebay Andrea, could make a bomb What a big disappointment though Glad you like your punches, and hope your ankle soon recovers. They are so painful.
Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Afternoon ladies just pop in to see how Jayne was today, sending out hugs to you all , take care Janetx
Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Hi ladies I did check on news of Jayne before I went out but didn't have time to write anything, I was running late again, no surprise there then Glad it was good news
Great that the pain has started to ease up Lou, it usually takes a day or so for the steroid to kick in but definitely worth it
Andrea make sure you rest the ankle and treat it with alternate hot and cold compresses, especially after walking so far on it today
You must have needed the extra sleep Jacky its good for you, the body's recovery time he he.
Hugs and tons of positive vibes to all, poorlies and healthy and extra ones for Jan and Jayne

Re: Sizzling Saturday.
Lou I sincerely hope the epidural has worked for you
I noticed when you were talking about it that you said about being numb
Unfortunately there was no numbness when I got it, it was one of the most painful experiences I have have ever had. So pleased to hear that they have recognised this and gave some kind of help there
There is nothing worse than constant pain and it is ok I do understand a prescription drug confusion
I am on quite a high dose of patches for pain and a whole chemist shop of other things
Alan (hubby) always jokes that he takes his life in his hands collecting my prescription, I think at this point I am meant to call him my knight in shining armour
Talking about which, that doctor you described sounded an exact description of my darling hubby. No, not the one with the 'eyes'
The one with the belly I wonder if he has a second job he is not telling me about. LOL
Those Triops look fascinating and the photos are brilliant too. I have never heard of them but would be interested to hear more of their progress
Jane, I hope you are looking after that ankle and resting it a bit.
You must have been so annoyed Andrea about the CD. The excitement of it eventually arriving then...................blank
Oh no!!!! Enough to drive any crafter to tears
But at least they are sending a new one. I just hope you get it a bit quicker and it has been worth the wait
Jacky, I am begining to think you are getting worse than me about FB
Though I must admit I do love my 'Oor Jimmy' Pet Ville. It really does make me laugh at some of the expressions that the cartoon figures make

Me I hardly go on there Still doing Farm Town as my sister is on level 60 and she started after me - I want the big house Farmville, keep saying I will give up, then plant something else. Gave up the fishes. Countrylife I got everything and was thinking of stopping but now they have more crops Petville - I haven't really got into, keep forgetting to go there and feed her so she keeps ending up in the pound and anyone reading this and not on facebook will think I am completely bonkers now
Re: Sizzling Saturday.
I must admit ive got really board of them all at the moment, ive not been on for a week and went to look on cafe world this morning and ive got a medal for ruining the most food and god knows how many gifts i have not been to my homepage yet. Might go on sometime today or tomorrow
