Boxing Day Empty Boxing Day

Post  Karen R Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:40 am

Morning...

Hope everyone is good and had a nice day yesterday.
Not sure what we will be having for lunch today, but I think it will involve turkey!! I was very impressed with the turkey crown I got. Will definitely get another one.

Mum wasnt too good when I got down to her house yesterday, she had unplugged all the phones and the Lifeline calling system. The machine was going off when the carer got there and she didnt know what to do. Managed to put all the right cables in the right plugs, so have had to put up more of my 'infamous notes' just to remind Mum not to touch the plugs.

Its cold and frosty out today, but not going far today. At one time we would be out going to the Boxing Day sales... can now do it from the comfort of the armchair!!

Have a good day, eat, drink and enjoy xx

Good morning Karen and all who follows, hope the notes help for your mum. We are having pork today with a few chips then an iceland strawberry trifle to follow. Just been to Asda to take something back what Greg has already got Embarassed , nothing much in the sales but i was not really looking has it was just a flying visit. Enjoy your day if you are off out and enjoy your lunches.

Good evening all, sorry I haven't been around. Had them all for dinner today but unfortunately Ian looked just awful, shivery and almost no voice so they had their dinner and I sent them home again. Ruth has had it for a few days and is left with a cough and Sally is also not well. She has had a cough & cold and seemed to be over it but today she has felt shivery too Neutral Hope it doesn't develop into flu for her. She is offered the flu jab every year and hasn't had it and I can't force her No

Had some lovely gifts but the one which made me smile was from Sally. The Bunty annual - I remember buying the first Bunty comic with a free ladybird ring Laughing Anyone who used to get it, the four Mary's are still at school and they were older than me then Laughing
