Morning all Smile Its sunny here, the blustery weather has passed over, thankfully Smile I hope the weather continues to be nice for Celie [Petal] who is down in West Wales for a holiday, the weather down here doesn't seem to treat her that well each time she comes down Sad

Jan make sure you remember where you file that email and attachment now he he Smile Has Mike had his fill of Steph yet or haven't you been watching he he Smile

Andrea I hope your mum feels better today Smile

Me? well I'm going to be having another forced relax day to make sure I pass my admission tests tomorrow he he. I've been waiting for something to be done about my knees since I was 40 and its finally being done; I've got a problem with the skin on my face and been waiting for ages for the appointment, its come ... the Weds after I come out of hospital; and finally I've waited about 5-6 months for the final appointment to finish off my dental treatment ... it came for when I'm on holiday at the end of March and they are now going to try and fit the appointment in before I go, which will end up near enough the same week as my skin one. It reminds me of buses he he. I will need the 4 day break at the end of March by the time all this is over with, so if I sound a bit vague over the next few weeks .... yes I know I'm always a bit vacant he he ... but, but assuming I get worse please excuse me, I will return to normal he he.

Morning all, beautiful day here at the moment but really have to go food shopping today and poor Martin will starve Laughing I never worry about food - quite happy to go without and the trouble is when I go shopping and haven't eaten I just want all the sweet things Laughing Laughing Weather supposed to be going off later. Have watched the scenery stamping this morning, but not tempted as I love the art impression ones. I have bought a couple of the docraft stamps and they are really cute - don't know when I will have occasion to use them though as most of my cards are mens or boys and I have just realised that even the great nephews are quickly growing Shocked they're not little boys anymore, 3 of them are going to senior school this year, don't think they will appreciate bunnies or cuddly elephants Laughing Glad you are getting things done Jen, even though it all comes at the same time. Good news on the bread maker instructions Jan, save the instructions somewhere safe but not in the same place as the last ones Laughing Laughing Have a good day all, whatever you are doing Very Happy

Good afternoon ladies. Just had to rush out and bring washing in as it's just started raining! Spent the morning emptying the garden shed. When I went in yesterday for gardening tools there was grass seed all over everything so knew it was either a mouse or rat! Fortunately it was a mouse - didn't fancy having a rat jump out. It had made a nest in a plant pot from some old bits of sacking I use to line pond plant pots but had nibbbled holes in grass seed bag and it was everywhere and mouse droppings as well. So I now have a very tidy shed. Porsche thought she was in cat heaven while I was doing it - she didn't catch them though. I think there were two- Mum and Dad?

Lou my diabetic dietician said that you can eat most things if you make them yourself by just havling the amount of sugar that you use, doesn't usually affect the recipe just lowers the sugar content Smile

JAN.....don't even mention the shortbread

Actually I will coz it will give you all a good giggle!

Well because it is Ady's favourite biscuit and because I have trouble rubbing it all together now, I jumped at the chance and bought a packet mix from the supermarket, all you had to do was add 60g softened butter... so thats what I did.... but when it was mixed up (with a fork) it looked more like cake batter,.... the instructions said to flour your hands and roll into balls.... haha the chance woulda been a good thing.... as soon as the mix touched my hands it didn't wanna come off ... so in the end I spooned it onto a greased baking tray and shoved it in the oven.... I knew what was gonna happen, but you know what kids are like... soon as the butter became liquid it spread (like the plague) all over the baking tray.... like slop!!! Now I KNOW I used the correct amount of butter coz the pats of butter these days have every 50g marked off on the wrapper don't they? so I added a tiny slice more to make the 60g needed....

So all in all, I am flumoxed to know what went wrong and may well find myself emailing asda later to say they have printed their boxes wrong or summit!!!

Lou did ya use softened or melted butter,
an also was it butter or margarine ?
Most recipes tell you to replace 2 teaspoons
of flour with 2 of ground rice but I always
replace a 1/4 of the flour for ground rice
and always butter and if you use a food
processor dont soften the butter Wink
