Update on Jayne

Jan your comment about premenstral daughter made me laugh, Dulcie is the devils child 99.9% of the time , talkabout treading on ice!!! my heart goes out to you , yet if we have a snappy day I get alsorts of hell , and told to take a chill pill !!!! Glad things are looking up !!!

Not much of an update today ladies, Jayne didnt sleep last night; body clock all messed up, so she was asleep when we got there and they asked us not to wake her so we just had a peek in the door and left, gets me how anyone who has spent the last 2 weeks alseep is still tired, lazy moo

Perhaps they sedated her again Jan as she was getting too aggressive Glad to know that things are going well

She did have to be sedated heavily again the other day her blood pressure line came out but she bounced back fine but maybe thats what has messed her clock up a bit
I am doing ok Lexie, just seem to be permanently tired but thats nothing compared to what Jayne has gone through and still has to come.
I am making that horrible journey back next Thursday, work have been great but I cant stay away any longer as much as I would like to, not that they are pressuring me to comeback but as I am agency dont want them sacking me and then having no job to come back to

Another week should see some more improvement Jan, you have seen her through so much and you have to get on with your life too. I am sure there are others there to help Jayne and you really don't want to be losing your job after all the trouble you had getting it. Hugs to you and hope Jayne carries on improving every day

shame Jan . Ireland is not that far away , but far enough to be a problem . Thinking of you , its always difficult and your loyalties get divided, but Jayne will know you have been with her a the darkest time .Praying for you hun xx

As you said your employers have been so good and jobs are so hard to come by these days
There had to come a time when you had to come home
Jayne will understand
Apart from which you really need a break yourself and get back and get the support you need to bolster yourself up
Jayne's time clock must be shot to pieces and by the sound of it the hospital seems to be really exceptional with her
Apart from the one doctor with attitude problems
I am just so pleased to hear that things are advancing steadily in the right direction

Jayne was actually off the oxygen for a while yesterday, they will now be stopping it every so often to get her own lungs working and to see how well she can do on her own, I would so love to see her off the machine before I leave but it seems unlikely at the moment. Just to hear her talk would be fantastic but when I was there 2 days ago they said 5 to 7 days so fingers crossed it is 5
I didnt go in yesterday just felt drained and had a tummy upset to, went to bed for a couple of hours around lunchtime, felt a bit better but not much but am fine today
Each patient in the seperate rooms in ICU have designated nurses that just deal with that one patient so she is being watched 24 hours a day, if they brought her into the ICU ward it would be a big step to and would mean they consider she is out of immediate danger.

That is a step in the right direction Jan Glad you are feeling better today, and will keep thinking positive thoughts that she will be talking before you have to leave

Jayne started retaining fluid again and with the method they were using via drip she is losing to much potassium so they have put her on dialasys to help clear it, not sure if it's good news or not, feeling a little muddled in my head about it but I guess they know what they are doing

They have worked miracles on her so far
You just have to trust them Jan

I have to look after myself no one else at the moment can I just a big ole cuddle from my Mibbly when I get home next week and I will be fine

Jan its important that we have the right amount of potasium to much is danderous and not enough is also dangerous so the hospital are being cautious and appears they are getting it right ,good sign I'd say and brill that she was off the oxgyen for a while , she is doing ok I'd say , give yourself a big pat on the bag for surviving and not cracking up !xx

I know its for the best and it was mentioned a week or so ago but they wouldnt do it until she was stronger so I am looking that its a good sign that they now feel she is strong enough to do it
