Tuesday - and it's raining!

There is so much excitment here - it has rained for the first time in over 12 weeks. The last decent shower was in NOVEMBER!

The girls were outside with their umbrella dancing last night and now it is quite heavy! It won't make much difference to the garden but at least it will dampen the ground so there's less of a fire risk.




We were in such a hurry, the boots are on the wrong feet!

I can so empathize, because it has been just the same here, nothing but sun, sun, sun since you went away. It gets boring after a while, I've positively forgotten what cold, damp, dismal, wet weather is like (almost).

Yep, never thought I'd be pleased to see rain. All this sun and heat really DOES get a bit boring after the third week or so!

AT least with our changing temperatures at home and constant weather changes we have something else to moan about in th UK - apart from the economy and politics. We are SOOO obsessed with weather forecasts.

Out here they do go a bit over the top when rain is on the radar map - mind you, if all I saw was blue sky and brown earth for weeks on end it COULD get a little boring - buts its still a novelty for me.

It's raining here, typical got to go out, there's a job fair at the Town Hall and I have been invited by the Job Centre to attend, made me laugh the letter said my money could be stopped if I dont attend, what money they dont pay me any

Sunny here at the moment, but as I was coming back from school it started to rain... forecasters dont predict it very good here...will have to see!
Having my hair cut later today.
Anyone seen the trailer for Marley and Me??? I hope to go to the cinema to see the film, but think I will be on my own - Amy has read the book and just knows she will cry at the end. Me... I will go stocked up with tissues!!! Will probably get the dvd when its eventually released.

Looks like we have 2 more rainy days to come but its brightening up for the weekend (Bank Holiday) Its Adelaide Cup Day on Monday so we're off to Victor Harbor with the family for a picnic and visit to the Wild Life Park. Should be dry but a bit cooler (still in the mid 20s though)

Is Spring on its way yet or is the UK going to get some of the snow that's battering the east coast of the US?

Hi ladies - talking of weather I've been told that they've forecast snow for us tonight !!! Why do they keep teasing me like this he he

I just have to share my possible good news with you guys - I may have a cancellation spot to have my op next Thursday rather than wait until May - yipee!!! They will confirm it tomorrow morning, but apparently I am the only one who put down that they will accept a cancellation place if one comes available, I find that really odd. Ah well So I will be spending a few days getting my boredom repression kit ready for next week .... loads of stamped images to paint; lots of different parchment patterns to play with. As I always stand to make cards I won't be able to make any for a day or so but at least I can play at making toppers he he

Oh almost forgot the meetings went ok, just the usual we'll get back to you as it takes a few months to process these things etc etc etc - but hey ho I refuse to get so stressed that I can't have my op next week. Great news Jen hope it happens for you Frances when the weather is like this I tend to get that I don't have any inspiration. Worse when you know you have to get a card done too I have just had an order for 5 cards this month. My friend emails me her list of cards she needs Had a lovely walk - started raining midway just as we were about to stop for a 5min rest and happened to be near the railway tunnel so sheltered there for our rest and it stopped raining again. Just a few quick light showers but nothing much. Had our lunch in the pub after. Raining now though

Great news Jen My daughter had a call yesterday about having her other teeth out, she had also put herself on the cancellation list and they wanted her there yesterday, almost straight away she had no way to get there so had to decline it

I put a CV in at the local chemist on the way back from the Job Fair (utter waste of time and energy that was) and had a call from the lady doing the interviews about 20 minutes ago asking if I can come in tomorrow at 12, not crossing anything this time just going to go and see what happens
I hate cant be bothered days Frances, makes you feel worse than ever that you havent managed to do anything

What a shame your daughter couldnt take up the cancellation I will keep my fingers crossed for you Jan, good sign that they phoned you straight away, sounds like they need someone quickly

Yep looks like it but she has had no pain and no infection since having the others removed so she is happy (at the moment) to wait

Evening ladies - bit late today. Did usual pilates this morning - it does seem to come round really quickly - seems like a week ago was only yesterday! Then had to do my nursing bit for Roy again. Don't know what I'm going to do with him - trade him in for a new model maybe This time he's pulled a muscle in his chest - sneezing I shouldn't laugh as he's obviously in a lot of pain - slept in armchair last night. Managed to make a birthday card for one of his friends this afternoon, watched QVC craft outlet but wasn't tempted, and now I've just started to recycle the parchment card I made. Sticking a butterfly over the tear didn't work - just looked like I'd stuck it on as an afterthought which I had. Just cut the flowers out now need to decide what to do with them.

Dull and grey outside at the moment but its 17 so not all bad - a couple of showers due today and tomorrow then back to the sunshine again.................... Hope the UK weather isn't getting you down too much and you all get your creative inspiration for cards back soon
