Good morning Ladies,

I hope you are all fit and well.

The sun is already out here in North London, every thing looks so much nicer when the sun is shineing.
Alan took me to the hospital to see mum yesterday, she had an op on her back, but has had a bad reaction to all the different drugs they have given her, she should have been home last Thursday and now it looks like she wont be home until next Wednesday.

We are going to see her this morning and then my friend is cooking lunch for us which will be very nice Very Happy

I've not been able to do much card making and I really miss it so I shall have a go later today and see what I come up with.

I wish you all a very happy day.

Mothers day hugz

Good morning ladies on this bright and sunny Mothering Sunday Smile
You did very well Andrea and have a great day playing with your stamps Smile
Tradition around our way is that the children 'borrow' the daffodils from the hospital, a lovely display of daffs on Saturday but by Sunday they are kinda sparse, I've lived up this way 21 years this July and it has happened every year Laughing
Hope your Mum is back to her normal self soon Mikki Smile
Janette hope you enjoy your bric a brac Smile
Big hugs to you to Janet (((((((Janet))))))
Sad to hear that Jade Goodey whether you liked or loathed her lost her battle for life early this morning

Happy Mother's Day !!!

Another lovely start to the day... sun is shining - Amy has just let Cookie out for a run, and its pretty nippy out - but he will have fun running around the garden nibbling on what primulas we have left!!! We had colour in the garden last week... this week none, he knows just which flowers are the tastiest!!
Well I got up too early to have breakfast in bed, but have received flowers, a cute 'Marley' mug, some choccie and a Teddy with 'Best Mum' on. Amy also made a Tilda card for me, love it!!!
Off now to make a trifle... all my favourites today
Enjoy your day xx

Good morning everyone. Happy Mothers day to you all. The girls brought me a cup of tea and some toast cut into hearts for me in bed this morning. They had all made cards for me too.
We're going to have a Chinese takeaway tonight as a treat

Post  LoopyLou Sun Mar 22, 2009 3:55 pm

Hiya all,

Had a nice day so far. Was woken this morning at 7.30 am with a full english breakfast (which my girls ate half of) and a nice cuppa tea!

Today is a little sad for me as it would have been my nephews 15th birthday today (just bad luck it falls on Mothers Day) so I text my sister early to check she was ok as it is tough enough for her. She is OK though... Bradley died just before his 3rd birthday so it's been a long time without him.

Been round to visit both our mums and give them flower teddies and cards! My Emily gave me a lovely teddy and a beautiful handmade card and my eldest Georgia gave me a new book (hope she didn't read it as its a gory one!) affraid and a lovely handmade card with a carnation decoupage on it x

Sounds like you did well Andrea, hope all the rest of you mums did as well as us. Hugs for anyone who is missing their mums xxx

Given 3 bunches of daffs at church this morning and got a card from Karen which Clive brought back from Oz. My son never remembers 'Special' days and has even forgotten my birthday a couple of times but gives me unexpected presents from time to time.

Nice to see the sun shining and have done some Spring cleaning - bedrooms, kitchen, hall, stairs and bathroom. 8 weeks without housework sure showed up in this light! Couldn't believe the size of some of the cobwebs.

Afternoon all, you all seem to be having a lovely Mothers Day. Martin & I went for a walk this morning alongside the Blackwater Valley river then crossing over to return along the Basingstoke Canal. Beautiful morning so we thought we would do a trial run of the next walk we are organising. Thank goodness we did as the canal path was closed along one stretch so we had to go back and find another route. The walk isnt until another 4/5 weeks so hopefully it will be open by then. We will have to remember to check it out prior to the day Laughing Laughing It's Martins birthday today too so he got the radio controlled glider which I bought him. Ian has already given him his present. Some sort of gps thing which he borrowed off Ian about a year ago, so he asked him if he could buy it off him. They were going for about £70 on ebay so Ian said if he wanted it for his birthday he could have it Very Happy he didnt need it as his mobile does the same job Very Happy so everyone is happy. I have got to go and have a shower and get ready now as we are going to Ians for dinner tonight and Sally will come along after she finishes her accounting course.

Happy Mothers Day all. Very Happy

Good evening everyone I hope you've all had a lovely day, haven't had a chance to get on till now.
Started the day at 6:30am making my Mother's Day cards (Yep I'm the last minute crafter if you hadn't worked it out Rolling Eyes ) then popped round to my Mum's and the other Nan's to give some pressies. Also been down to the seafront and had a lovely walk along the pier.

Got some flowers from Jakey, no Jan it wasn't Daffs thankfully Very Happy big box of chocolates and a book, gave him a big kiss and thanked him. He said " Dad brought them I spent my money on a pokemon book" He's sometimes too honest Laughing

This weekend has just flown past I been so busy it's hard to believe it's work again tomorrow.

Forgot to say there used to be this lady who came to the bric a brac and she used to buy stuff at auction and sell at the bric a brac, unfortunatly she passed away jan 3rd this year, and now her family have the job of clearing her house, and shop out has it is full from floor to ceiling, well someone who sells at the bric a brac is selling some of her stuff for the family and today i have bought a stand with about 30 or 40 rolls of ribbon on it for the sum of wait for it £20 yes £20 some of it is really lovely and others is just plain. So if anyone wants any ribbon you know where i am. ha ha.

That's a good buy Janette - all those ribbons Very Happy I have had dinner at Ian & Ruths house - lovely roast beef and the best yorkshire puddings. I don't know how she made them but they were really well risen Very Happy Followed by an enormous Strawberry Pavlova for which she used 8 eggs, then realised the recipe was for 12 people. Really nice though and after Sally came round and helped there was only half left Laughing Laughing I had a lovely card from them and a huge bouquet of flowers - lots of reds to go with my lounge Very Happy Sally bought me a great book on card making and a lovely card. Martin too had two books from her, one on pub walks around Surrey and another a biography of a golfer, so he was happy too Very Happy
