Tuesday already

Its February 1st here now.

While some of you are enjoying a relaxing Monday night, its Tuesday morning here. Had breakfast and the girls are on their way to school. Karen is working and I have a class at 10.00. It was a hot night (26) and it was 29.5 by 7.00am. Should peak at about 35 today and then we have a cool spell (not above 33) for a few days before it hots up for the weekend. Its surprising how quickly you get used to it - we just take things more easily, move slowly and drink lots of fluids. We had the fan on for an hour before bed but didn't need the aircon except in the living room.

We keep seeing that it is about 1 - 5 in London and feel a bit sorry for you all shivering in that awful cold and grey weather. Not looking forward to coming home at all. Hope all the poorlies are on the mend. I don't always have much time to catch up with the posts as this computer is in my daughter's and SIL's room/office and they need frequent access when they are around. Early mornings is good as some of you are still up but most of the time I seem to be talking to myself.

Cant tell you what the weather is going to be like tomorrow as I am not sure... think it involves rain.
Its nighttime and its dark!!! and I am about to go to bed!

Well the frost has all gone from last night, and its now wet and urghhh out!
Just got back from Mum's, the Carer had been but Mum was sat there with out a top on or tights - just a cardigan and a skirt Helped Mum to get ready for the Daycare Centre. In Mum's living room there is a big planner I made with days of the week, and stickers with whatever is happening on each day of the week. Majority of carer's do check it - but the one today hadnt. Could understand if it was a new carer, but she has been coming since day one! Anyway, Mum gone to the Centre and I have another rest day.
Could have done with an extra hour in bed, but I got up at 7.00 thinking I had to do sandwiches and tablets etc. But once I had got downstairs, I realised that Keith is at hospital and Amy only has one lesson to go to, ah well.... early night for me!

Please excuse typing, hands in splints...... not great!

Feeling a little beter in myself... codeine trick the doc suggested seems to help so thats good... managed to keep my tea last nigt and my tablets so thats a bonus! Mind you I have lost nearly 5kgs so aint complaining! LOL

Got emily off ill today..... sore throat, stuffy nose, cough and temp...... lets just hope its a cold she picked up at school cos I have been very good not sharing my germs... have been disinfecting my hands with one of them hand gel things each time I have to coff coff into my hands!!!

Got 132 emails to clear spo better get down to it! LOL

Good afternoon all Went on our 5 mile walk this morning and it wasn't too bad. Thought I might be lagging behind having not walked for over a month.

Glad to see you on here again Lou, love the profile piccie of Rolo. Hope Emily hasn't caught the lurgy. Sally lost half a stone with it - somehow I have managed to put on weight but I did lose it at the beginning. Hope you have had a good chill day Andrea, I need one again now Aww Karen, you better have an early night tonight, fancy not getting your Mum dressed properly but at least you have had the day to yourself.

Love the photos Jane, you wouldn't be able to take photos in the classroom and put them on here in England.

Got to finish off a card for my neighbour who has her birthday today Better get on with it.

I did ask - but everyone was doing it as it was the first day and were quite happy about it all.

Had a geat time at the sales too. 3 pairs of posh thongs (flip flops/toe post sandles) and a handbag. Cost me less than $60 (about 42 pounds at present rate)
