Pinch, punch, first of the month!
White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits!

Morning,
Doesnt seem quite as nice today, but it is early, so maybe the sun is just deciding what to do.

Got Amy an appointment for 9.00 am at the Drs. she got home yesterday saying her throat felt a bit better! Still keeping the appointment as her throat doesnt look very nice.

Nothing much planned for today, want to try and get back into my cross stitch. Have seen a pattern on line for a Silver Wedding cross stitch, so going to order that to do when we go away.

Take care and have a lovely day.
Just adding, my friend across the road brought over a Herman cake yesterday - Mum did one years ago when they were all the trend,... looks like they are coming back - just hope it isnt the same mix going!!

Take care and have a lovely day x

Good morning Karen - pouring down here again Sad so much for hosepipe ban. Fed up with it now. Martin has just gone off to the walk hope its not too muddy after all this rain. Will be playing with my craft again today to try and get the rest of the cards done.

Never heard of a Herman cake Karen. Enjoy your day and hope Amy feels better soon.

Afternoon all. Only just got internet back it's been off all morning - don't know why - couldn't get through to Virgin on the phone and they weren't mentioning my postcode on their recorded message only 2 nearer to Guildford. Maybe it was something to do with the powercut we had during the night.
We've had a couple of herman cakes recently - Roy got the starter from someone at work - but it's quite hard getting rid of the 3 starter left over. He was given a sourdough bread recipe that you could use the starter for as well so I made that last week but I didn't like it much as it seemed to be too sweet and stodgy to me. It's now in freezer and I think it might go to the ducks in due course when Grandkids visit!

Ahh yes Karen, we called it a friendship cake - obvious now you have said it. I think I made a fruit one with it. Must have been 1970/71 when I made it because I was up in Brampton - nr Carlisle when I made it Laughing

Hope the penicillin does the trick.

Roy put sultanas apple and cherries in his and it was very nice especially served warm with ice cream. His daughter put cherries and chocolate chips in hers and called it a black forest Herman Very Happy
